That's what I'm saying. They must have 8 must-have players on their board in this case. 8 players worth trading up into the 8th position.

This would be a stupid move, it has to be a smoke screen, i can't see any way Mike T is dumb enough to make this deal. Then again we are the Jets, so i wouldn't put anything past us.

Man, I hope this doesn't happen. I just want them to stay put and take the BPA at 17. That's the right thing to do this year.

If this is a smoke screen its almost certainly from Jax.

The Bears got Cutler & a 5th round pick for Orton, 2 1st round picks & a 3rd round pick. I would not give up a 1st, 2nd & a 3rd for anyone in this draft mabye our first & 3rd to move up to 8 but I am not giving a 2nd round pick as well.

Its a 1,2 and 5. Thats a 2 and 5 to move up 11 spots in the 1st, this is a steal. Seems too good to be true.

The draft point value chart is a little outdated these days. Teams don't want to pay the money for a top 10 pick so this could easily be done. I just hope it doesn't get done.

How can we be giving away a 5th, we don't own a 5th, ours went to the Eagles in the Sheppard deal

Yea, but hasn't Tannenbaum made the right calls by trading up for Revis, Harris and Dustin Keller?

Not saying I agree with this possibility, unless we could get either Sanchez or Crabtree.

Thats a great point. But IMO if we go in thinking Sanchez, Raji or Crabtree then we should do this.

You know when I look at the patriots and dolphins picks, they seem to ALWAYS have more picks than they need
    I believe they have 10 a piece
We need to get that philosophy over here

One specific draft value chart doesn't apply to every team, but as far as I can tell each year, most teams still apply points value to draft picks for tradign purposes for their specific team's needs. It's just a point of reference for them, it's not like they religiously adhere to them.

I really don't know if Crabtree is worth giving up so much for. At least with Raji, he'll probably be a beast - esp if he gets to play some downs alongside Jenkins - and I'd feel more comfortable with a player Rex can really mold; he wouldn't do that with Crabtree because that's not Rex's forte.

Why are people reacting as if a 2 and 5 are a high price to move up 11 spots??????
