The Jets aren't taking a QB in Rd. 1. There's no way. Rex Ryan came to this team as a "brutally honest" coach. He has spent the last couple months saying over and over again that the starting QB is on the roster already. This has gained the trust of not only the QBs, but the team. Drafting a QB in the 1st round DESTROYS his credibility.

QB isn't that big of a need this year, plus, the better prospects are going to be coming up in next year's draft anyway. I'd gladly take a shot at getting Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, Zach Robinson, or Tim Tebow (assuming he learns how to drop back and doesn't become self-aware of his running ability) than select Stafford, Sanchez, or Freeman this year.

I don't think that is a surprise, we have unknown commodities at the QB position, it makes little sense investing in the position this year when we don't know what we have, and there is a much better class next year, all those names that CKNY6 mentioned and Jimmy Clausen from Notre Dame as well. Maclin would be brilliant, Moreno would be nice, trading down would be good.

Maclin is my favorite pick in this draft. If we manage to land him I would call this draft a success. If not, I would be perfectly happy with Moreno, Gilbert, or Britt if we see a run on receivers. Trading down is not a bad idea either, depending on who we could pick up later.

If at #17 Moreno and Sanchez are on the clock i think we take Sanchez over Moreno. We got Leon and T.J. despite all this BS just rushed for over 1300 Yards and 15 TD's... Sanchez can sit a year and learn and let clemens and ratty still battle it out, Unless Sanchez is ready to go and lights up the pre-season then maybe he gets the reigns.

I doubt Sanchez is there, wish he would be, but I'll be happy with Moreno

I think if that happens by a streak of luck, Jets should listen to all offers to trade down!

Moreno is ok, but RBs don't seem to last too long and I don't want to put out 1st Rd. money for a guy who probably won't last 5 years.

I have no qualms with Sanchez, but I think the safest pick in the draft might be Tyson Jackson if still available. He may not be a sack stud, but he seems like the kind of guy that could play for 10 years. That's a good return on your money.
