I bet Braylon lands with the Giants and Brady Quinn to 49ers just a gut feeling

I'll say Quinn to the Broncos and Edwards to the Eagles. That would leave the Browns with 3 first rounders. Can't wait to see how Mangini & Co screw it up.

makes sense to me. I mean the eagles would be stupid to stand by and watch the Giants give up #29 for Edwards. they have #28, and they would still have a top pick, so it should be a no brainer in Philly.

Seriously WTF is Mangini doing down there? he has pissed off everyone, and unloaded essentially there #2 reciever in Winslow, likely to unload their young QB of the Future, as well as there best reciever.

The browns wont have an offense next year with no one to throw to, and only Joe Thomas to block. plus shaun Rogers wants no part of mangini, they are destined to be god awful.

How is this for Mangini's likely picks Josh Freeman with the Bears #18 and then look to get DHB with the pick he gets for Edwards? Then also take the boom bust Orakpo at #5? thats what i see going down anyways...

The Browns are going to have a ton of draft picks and a very young team. That could work for or against them. The Chiefs were in the same boat the last couple of years and it did not work out well for them.

I heard a great interview with Ted Sundquist here in Denver last week. He said there are only 2 ways to copy the Patriots way; hire Bill Belichick or hire Scott Pioli. He said those two were the inner circle who made all the personnel decisions and knew how to run a team. Hire anybody else, and you're rolling the dice.

I think Denver wants to make that Cutler trade make some sense -- McDaniel has to start Orton.

Apparently, Cleveland wants Mike Crabtree at 5. If they end up with 3 first rounders, I can honestly see them package the other two and moving up to get Mark Sanchez/Matt Stafford...

Think the Jets could be one of the teams interested in Edwards? If you assume that WR is the Jets' biggest needs, and Crabtree and Maclin both are likely to be gone by 17 when the Jets pick, you can make an argument that Edwards would be better than any of the other WRs on the board at that time.

Similarly, you also could argue that Quinn could be in the Jets' sights, although I believe the talk that they are happy with what they got. If you assume, however, that the Jets do want to upgrade the QB position if they are in a position to do so (but don't want to say so for fear of undercutting the existing QBs if they wind up not addressing the position), and also assume that Stafford and Sanchez are gone by 17 when the Jets pick, one could argue that Quinn would be a better pick than Freeman.

I can definitely see that. 5 picks in the top 50 will give you the chance to do a lot of damage on draft day. I'm thinking it has to be Tampa Bay for Quinn, they've been after anything with am arm and I can't imagine a team is really that excited for Josh Freeman.

Giants or Philly for Edwards, but the price on that one should probably swing it to the Giants. Apparently they want a wideout along with the picks, and I'm thinking that Steve Smith or hometown kid Hixon would be more enticing than the Philly hodgepodge.

*** On Edit, nevermind about Tampa for Quinn, just saw the Lefty signing.

Detroit could be an interesting place for Quinn. Then they can get their tackle at number one, and don't have to wait to see who's left at 20. They're also an NFC team, which makes it easier for Cleveland.

I think Quinn goes to the 49ers. No where else other than the Jets make sense right now. Detroit actually might throw #20 in there for Quinn and draft one of those big OL guys with #1, sounds like a plan to me.

Edwards big landing spot has to be either Eagles or NYJ. I can see us dealing the #17 pick, which would be fine with me and maybe a 4th rounder for Edwards. We need that deal to happen.

I actually see how Mangini would want his OWN team. With three 1st rounders maybe coming their way, you could see a very young and talented team playing for them for a decade.

    Or

Watch Eric fuck it up all over again while he just stands there with his arms crossed.

Quinn, Smith or Monroe at left tackle, Calvin Johnson, and Kevin Smith is a pretty good young core for an offense.

that is very solid as far as a young core would go, it would be a great move for Detroit. then at 33 they could add young stud on defense that falls out of round one. Maybe an Alphonso Smith? A Jarron Gilbert? a Larry English?

sounds like detroit has the oppurtunity of a lifetime to sky rocket up the wins column, say an increase of 4 + wins over last year.

Say what you will about Mangini but the Jets drafted pretty well while he was here IMO. I don't know how much input he had, but he surely was a factor.

i would much rather take the 2nd that is going to be used on austin and package it with something to get edwards. i know he must have some type of concentration problem with the drops, but i feel like that is a fixable thing. i know when i played football i had a case of stone hands when i first started. after awhile i got tired of being made fun of and i learned to catch the damn ball consistently. im sure if i can do it an athlete like edwards will be able to do it.

Yes, yes, yes. If it's a first being given up, do it. Edwards' only problem is concentration, and we have one hell of a WR coach here in Ellard. In reference to UK, we're not going to get him for a 2nd and another pick. We give up our first, maybe ship off Brad Smith in lieu of a 5th, and target Shonn Greene with our 2nd rounder. It's by far our best option right now.

Oh, I hope he had a lot of say. If he's rebuilding, he's going to want as many of "his guys" as possible this season to help his young players along. That could help us swing a deal for BE.

Despite his drops, Braylon makes a shitload of plays. Don't compare him to J-Mac
