I'd rather see Evans get a chance to show what he can do before they start giving ABs to a 40 year old that looked completely finished last year.

i'm not sure what's up with perez's velocity but he he better fix it quick. his fastball was in the mid 80s all game long and stokes is regularly hitting 95 on the same gun.

Really? Tatis PH for Church? I'd rather see him PH for Cora.

i hate these managers that just play the righty/lefty matchups rather than actually looking at guys numbers. tatis' OPS was .100 points higher vs RHP last year despite his BABIP being .050 points higher against lefties.

I really hate this half-inning and doing the lefty/right matchups.

But I guess that's why I'm not a major league manager, or something.

I don't mind the pinch hitting but why PH for Church and Castro then let fucking Alex Cora hit?

Someone want to explain the Taveras at bat? Gameday makes no sense.

Thanks. It said he lined out to Parnell to Schneider to Cora. I didn't think it made sense unless he took a line drive off the face and it rebounded to Schneider or something.

I'm a big fan of MLB's because of the pitch speeds at release, at the plate, the break in inches, etc. I'll try CBS out soon, too.

Mets made it close, but Ollie has looked lost out there for all of 2009 (exhibition and now season) except for one start. If that continues the Mets are in trouble.

Was Cordero that nasty or did they really just not show up? Three FAST strikeouts and asshole Sheffield didn't even swing the bat.

the sheff and reyes ks were perfect pitches, both of them weren't pleased with the ump but they looked like they got the corner to me. murphy swung at a trash pitch in the dirt.
