wow, great interview...Forget all the talk about Cutler, I just love how Kerry Rhodes has faith in Kellen and I'm sure Kellen is pumped up that defensive leaders are willing to give him a chance and back him up on Sundays.

It takes players to BELIEVE in you as a starting QB inorder to lead that team and I'm just excited that Kerry Rhodes is speaking up for our next starting QB

Is it me, or does Kerry talk funny? He sounds weird to me...Maybe it's just me though but he sounds like he's choking on something lol

I dont know but he might get in a bit of trouble for his last comment about having Nicole Schwaze(???sp) in his phone, she is with British F1 driving sensation Lewis Hamilton lol

I love the way he talks, and seems like Clemens has the backing of the team which is great, also love the bit about Revis going over to Rhodes house all the time to study lol, sounds weird but it's great to hear.

lol, yeah...And it's Revis who's going to Kerry's house and not the other way around...That shows two things right there.

#1. Rhodes is the leader of this secondary and young players like Revis respect his leadership

#2- Revis is a student of the game and seems like he's willing to listen to players like Law and Rhodes to get even better.

Rhodes is the man. He had a bad year last year, but I think when he's surrounded by players that don't completely disappoint, he'll play a lot more efficiently and with a lot more intensity. I think it's pathetic that fans here are so quick to throw any Jet they can under the bus, yet instinctively defend just about any big name non-Jet.

I agree...Some people say that I throw the word "Elite" around a little to much and I have to agree to disagree on that one because the only players I consider "Elite" on the defensive side of the ball are Rhodes, Revis, Jenkins and maybe Harris and players such as Sheppard, Bart Scott, Calvin Pace and Ellis are players I consider to be "Really good", and players like Gholston, Lowery, Elam and Leondard all have potential to be "Really good" players but Gholston has the talent and ability to be "Elite"...Some day.

But as of right now, Revis, Rhodes, Jenkins and Harris are elite players in my eyes and the defensive leaders of this team. Thats just how I feel about them

I think having someone solid next to him like Leonhard will benefit Rhodes immensely

I heard Rhodes on the radio talking about not wanting Cutler. It was a pretty gutsy move on his part because the deal was still in the making. Suppose we had acquired Cutler?

You've got to hand it to Rhodes for saying what he is saying. if I'm not mistaken, he was never big on Favre either.

Like he said, if you are willing to stand up and back up what you said, then go ahead. Rhodes said it before he was up for trade, and then during, sticks to his word.

I can just imagine what Rhodes was saying in the locker room last year while Favre was throwing those 9 picks in the last 5 games. We were 8-3 going into those last 5 games.

Rhodes had to be like, "Dude, WTF is wrong with you?"

lol someone had to say something like that, sure he gets called on bad plays if he makes them, so why not call out other people, as long as it is done in private and not through the media.

Who's fault was it for the 08' collapse?

    Mangini or Favre

I'm surprised he called out Mangini like that. I have a different opinion on who's fault it was for the 08' collapse, but that was awesome. He is starting to become one of my favorite players on this team.

Its always the HC... .HC can pull the QB whenever he wants, but he didn't... he let the entire team sink with Favre.

And Rhodes is a funny guy when he says he is better than Revis :)

Good interview. I liked his comment about his conversation with Bart Scott the best. That guy's a beast!

which is why i found it surprising when asked

who was more responsible for the collapse last year, Mangini or Favre?

he said unhesitatingly and in laughter as in without a doubt...."hahahaha....Mangini"

and it was his fault, why, cause WAS the HC.

    1. Kerry Rhodes hated playing single-high safety, Mangini made Kerry Rhodes play single-high safety, ergo
    2. Mangini was too much of a stubborn prick/pussy to bench Brett Favre.

i hate these kind of comments. i don't like mangini. that being said, that is ridiculous. sure he sucked but he would be our best option. im all in favour for kellen starting this year but come on, you're not going to bench favre for clemens.
