Guys I'm going to ba away a good part of the day. I sent my Miami and Green Bay boards to Dharris52 and MrElectric29.
For DAL, I feel that Turner has the best chance to develop into a solid possession type receiver (eventually T.O.'s replacement, but not quite superstar caliber)...
I'm around again all day today and have about 6 draft boards already. If you're not going to be available when you think your pick is coming up, get your board to me just in case.
I wanted Bruton to fill the hole at SS for the Browns. But Hamlin fits in nicely as well and could develop into a starter in his rookie season.
I have 4 out of the next 6 picks via PM and then Mr. E has the 49'ers, so things should be getting up to speed soon. Let's have a productive day guys - get your boards sent if you're not going to be available to make your pick.
Not only did I have Hamlin over Bruton, but I thought for sure that both Hamlin and my pick, Keenan Lewis, would have been gone before the beginning of the fourth round. When I was talking about wishing we could trade, here: I as talking about Lewis and Hamlin, since the Rams need secondary help badly (both CB and SS). Well, I'm ecstatic that things turned out the way they did. I couldn't ever possibly hope for Hamlin to fall to the 5th anyway. There are other prospects, though. I'm kind of surprised by the difference between my board and other peoples' boards, though.
Hamlin was ranked right after Bruton on my cue, I really like his potential and hope we look at him in our draft, we need safeties so heres hoping
Mr. E will be making the Seahawks' pick on behalf of PinPoint at 2:40PM (3 hour time limit expiration) should he be a no-show. Then, I have the Bengals' pick via PM.
Sorry I missed my pick, I didn't think this morning would go that fast. Would it be possible to change it, since the next pick was via PM anyway? Not a big Asher Allen fan.
You can try talking to WW85 about that, but I know he's been pretty strict about the 3 hour rule with other GM's this year. Sorry you don't like the pick, but I knew the 'Hawks could use another CB and Allen offered the best value on the board. He is 2nd-3rd round value IMO. I didn't mean to step on your toes, but the time limit had expired and again, I was just using my best judgement.
Yeah, I don't blame you for doing your job, it was my fault. I think Trufant, Jennings, and Josh Wilson is a pretty good group of young corners, so I would've taken a DT or S instead. It's okay though because Allen was probably the best CB on the board.
Josh Wilson is a great return man...but he's nothing more than a nickel corner. Apparently, the Seahawks coaching staff isn't very high on Kelly Jennings. They want a physical corner, something that Jennings doesn't offer. Even though Asher Allen isn't the biggest guy, he can hit. It's a solid pick.
