Best case scenario is Tanny tricks Bowlen with a tongue twister and the deal ends up being: The New York Jets receive Jay Cutler from Denver and in exchange Denver sends Brandon Marshall to the Jets. This happens in the NHL all of the time.

Not about to happen...Dont get your hopes up on Cutler in Green and White, Rex Ryan has already made it clear that Cutler wont be a Jet, he's confident in either Kellen or Rattlif's ability along with their potential to lead a Jets offensive attack.

"Hey, great game Jay. I hate the rain so I took this one off. Anyway, good luck in your future. Most likely I will retire and be done after the next four games and I have a gut feeling Mangini will be out of here and so will Shanny, so I suggest forcing a trade to get out of town and become the franchise QB of the Jets. Just a thought. I am gonna go take a shower and get cleaned up. Then go to a steakhouse and get a big steak and an ice cold beer. See ya later, whatever happens, happens."-Brett Favre

No cap next season.. No CBA.. No limits until new agreement is in place as far as I know. We can pay what we have to pay.

If Tanny or Woody (hehe) get a hard-on for Jay, it will happen whether Rex wants it to or not.

You're right he has. But what doesn't add up is that it's also been confirmed that Tanny has contacted Denver and wants to be first in line to make an offer. These conflicting messages don't really add up to me. One possibility that I really hope isn't the case, is that tension is erupting already between Tanny and Rex if they aren't in agreement on this.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Thanks for the scoop, otherwise I'd still have hope.

It's not like a coach has ever changed his mind, so it must be true.

Rex would be an idiot to say "Well, we don't think Ratliff or Clemens can lead this team." He's smart and had a great teacher in his father- you don't publicly rip your back-up plans.

Analogy, you have an OK girlfriend but you eye a hotter chick that you might have a chance of hooking up with. You sure as hell aren't going to start dissing your girl until you plow the new chick.

come on dude, I expect this from TBJF but noone else. Tanny has to make sure denver knows hes interested so he starts publicly and im sure privately sending messages confirming this. Meanwhile the coach keeps praising Clemens and Ratliff in case the deal never happens so our guys dont feel shafted...its really quite simple

Good point, but it's debatable. I still say Revis was the best player. Jinx faltered a little towards the end. Defensive rankings can be attributed to many factors, not just individual players.

you didn't know? TBJF is a certified gypsy....complete with standard crystal ball.

Nobody knows what's gonna happen. What we do know is....the Jets have made it known they're interested....that's as far as it goes. If it happens....great! we'll have a franchise QB....if not....life goes on.

Revis may be the more talented player, but I think Jinx definitely has a bigger impact on our defense. When he faltered, so did the entire D.

Thats a bad point. He is a great cornerback. If the Jets had a great QB, great WR, etc I still would not want Revis traded. I don't get what you mean with this. Having a shutdown CB does not mean the rest of your team sucks.
