Say what you want about Cotchery turning into a solid #1 WR because I'll be the 1st one to bump this thread next year while Cotchery is having a monster season and I'll be the 1st one to say... "I told you so" Lets see if your a mr know it all then.

Cotchery has alot of potential and we have already seen his talent. The man is ONLY 26 years of age, what? You dont think this guys going to improve over the years as a #1 WR? Your dead wrong if you feel players stop getting better after the age of 26.

Really? Well these are the words that came out of Rex Ryans mouth and he seems to be dead on with these words. Rex Ryan also doesnt seem like a coach that will say things to the media just to make the fans or players "Feel good".

"We have two Pro Bowl running backs in Leon Washington and Thomas Jones. We have a former Pro Bowl fullback in Tony Richardson. We’ve got a great receiver in [Jerricho] Cotchery. We’ve got a tight end that scares the heck out of defenses in Keller. I think we’ve got plenty of weapons on offense. I’d like to be the quarterback for those guys."

I'm excited to know that Rex Ryan feels the same way as I do about alot of players on this Jets team. He also feels we have one of the best O-Lines in the league which is nice to know.

As you can see, Rex Ryan can see two pro bowl RB's in Leon Washington and Thomas Jones. Check.

He understands that we have a former pro bowl fullback in Tony Richardson. Check.

He knows that we have a TE that can be a threat in Dustin Keller. Check.

And he also feels that Cotchery is a great WR....Check.

Let me guess, he was right about everything else and wrong about Cotchery? lol, it looks like Rex Ryan is confident in Cotchery as our #1 WR.

omg you get to beat Goliath for once???? Cool!!!!!!!!!

Here's what I don't do - make players that have to yet to prove that they are elite playmakers Gods.

In your head, everyone is a little better than they actually are, a little stronger, faster, smarter, and more HOF bound than what they really are.

You can wish in one hand and shit in the other......

We have a #1 in Cotchery and a solid slot WR in Stucky, Stucky seems to be a solid threat out of the slot position but the fact of the matter is this...Percy Harvin is the overall better talent and if this kid could stay healthy, he's worth the risk because if not for college injuries, he would be a top 5-7 pick, hands down.

Sucks for me? Nah...I'm a die hard Jets fan and will be rooting for our draft pick this year no matter what

Just because I think your stupid @ times...Doesnt mean my emotions rose, it just means that I think your an asshole @ times.

#1 CB's are a little more elite than #2 CB's but I wouldnt expect you to understand this. So...Because Cotchery "Struggled" in your eyes for a couple games, that means he can't play as our #1 WR? I'm glad your not the head coach of the JEts, because Rex Ryan already seems to feel this kid is Great. I think I trust Rex a little more than a "Mr know it all". Did you really just compare Manning and Carr because of Cotchery? woowww...Just wow.

So...Because you "Addressed" something, that means that you have the right to..."Put it to rest"? lol, get off your high horse already because believe me you...your nothing special around here Mick. Cotch had his breakout years under the Herm era because thats when he was given his chance to shine. The man is making the most of it. He's still learning the game of football, he's only 26 years of age and will continie to get better and improve as a #1 WR. Cotch has shown he has the ability to rack up 70+ catches every year with around 1,000 yards receiving... I guess that makes me an idiot for feeling that he's going to turn into a solid #1 WR. You do know that Cotchery broke records set by Tory Holt while playing for NC State right? Thats impressive in itself @ the college level. Find ONE post when I called Cotchery a "Future HOF player", lol...You cant. I guess thats just another blanket statement coming from the drunk mick.

Wasn't I the one who said that it's obvious that YOU never played any type of sports? Then you go and say the same thing in return? yeah, ok...Nice comeback guy. I'm the one that doesn't understand player ceilings? lol, do you even understand what type of talent Cotchery has as a WR? Do you understand that the man is only 26 years of age? Your the one who thinks players stop getting better after the age of 26...Not me, so lets not even talk about understanding levels of talent or players ceilings because it's clear that you have no idea of what your talking about other than "Trying to be right".

Oh yeah, I fotgot...You MAY HAVE played little league sports @ the age of "12"
You are fucking clown shoes.
"You are a fucking clown shoes"??? How old are you? 35 going on 11?

i can be an asshole, but it seems that you're upset about me applying logic to the situation rather than hoping and wishing along side you.

If you don't understand the Manning - Carr sarcasm.... well i don't expect you to.

No i'm not special, its the internet, no one is special here. But then again in this community we have here at TGG, the people have spoken on how they feel about me and you. You are in no position to tell me what my status is. And you know what? have fun with life!!!!!

I don't try to be right, when i'm arguing with hoping and wishing and hugs its easy to beat it with stats and logical speculation.

Keep up the not playing sports angle. If we need a tie breaker, ask TGG community on who might possibly the better athlete. I'm not going into my athletic resume to prove anything to you. I do believe its been documented on this board that you're a short little nothing.

What about the other sports I played?

And yes, you are fucking clown shoes. Now someone who applies logic would take that quote, find out where its from and then use their brain to estimate approximate age. I've also stated on here how old I am.

    You are sad little man.

You are so worked up over this. Am I crushing your hopes and wishes about our WR corps?

that's my philosophy with late round picks.

Who was the guy that had great promise but was hampered by injuries? Those are the prospects with high round grades if healthy, but they plummet due to a nagging foot injury or major surgery. With the extremely low percentage of late round picks doing well, I would always take a flier on the kids that have bad injury history but are great talents when healthy in rounds 5-7. stuckey was 06's injury prone talent, this year i see Jasper Brinkley being that same type of prospect.

Or just go with Percy Harvin @ 17 because WHEN HEALTHY, there is no denying his talent and in my eyes, he's one of the most explosive athletes in this years draft. If you like the talent and ability of a Stucky, believe me...You would LOVE Harvin once you seen the man play as a Jet.

Put it this way...There's a reason why the kid is projected as a top 15 talent after all of those college injuries.

I was talking about the philosophy in general, not WRs.

What position does Brinkley play? Do you know?

You have a problem with that?

And before anyone actually accuses me of highjacking this thread, just look @ the above post from the above poster... We were all talking about football, was that post necessary?
