So I been a season tix holder since 65. How long have you been a holder? Also somebody in this thread said he knows somebody in Carolina whose bought his PSL for 1G but sold for 3G. Are U telling us something that most of us all ready know that all the PSL are just a tax scheme to extract more money from us fans & hopefully most will not accede to making Woody pockets even big then they are already I am one of the circa 77 season tix holders so as somebody already called the UD the "nosebleed" tier I will just continue my UD tix there & pay Woody the xtra $50.00 per seat per game he is going to extract from me for next year. After next season ends we will see what Woody will be doing about 2011 & if he decides to take another $100.00 per seat per game for my seats for that year I will most likely give them up.
I've been "on the books" only since last year, but I have been on the waiting list for over 10 years. I have been coming to every (most) game for the last 10 years with my friends who have been season ticket holders since 1981. You are a lucky one that you can get Non-PSL Nosebleed seats (4th row of upper deck) is equivalent to last row in current stadium. so much for sitelines. Plus your new "non-PSL" seats have absolutely NO transfer rights for any reason, even to a spouse or child. If you die, that's it. Unfortunately, anyone who is a ticket holder after 1983 will most likely NOT be able to get any non-PSL seats. What people also don't realize, with Carolina, they had no team, so it didn't matter if they had a PSL (which was much more modest) then what the Jets/Giants/Dallas are charging. They were a brand new team. The Jets and Giants are breaking up people/friends who have been sitting together for years in the same seats, and no NO-ONE will be in the same place in the new stadium. What that lawsuit states is that the Jets/Giants unilaterally terminated without cause/consideration/compensation ALL of its fans contractual renewal rights LAST summer when they introduced these ridiculous PSL's.
I just got the package, sent in for the non-PSL upstairs seats. Don't have great seniority, 2001, so we may not get them which would also be ok. Doesn't cost anything to send in the request though, figure I might as well hang in the game as long as possible.
You do know that they already thought of that, and have an "airspace" charge. If you don't pay, they shoot you down over the marshland.
Does anyone need to see a game for 2600? You must be a real die hard or well off to afford this crap. (and I don't mean you spefically, just whoever buys that ripoff).
As a season ticket holder since 1984, I seriously considered going with the PSL but the more I thought about it, the more I could not rationalize the decision. Back in the day, my two season tickets cost me a whopping $400. Games were only $25 apiece and Leon was one of the two owners in the league who gave you the option of skipping the exhibition games. His actual concern for the fans grew this franchise. What Leon did in 20 years could be blown up by Woody in the next few years, at least in terms of making Jets game day the place to be for Jets fans. I'm over 50 now and have no interest in being in the nose bleeds and I'll be damned if I pay $500 seat for the "privilage" of spending even more money in the Club Areas. As many here have said, the whole deals basically sucks. However, I also agree the secondary market doesn't exist. I would think you'll be able to get the high end seats for a fraction of the cost on the open market. And if the Jets start our 1-3 forget it. Those $500 seats will be in total freefall.
This is the key right here. Anybody who has had seasons for any length of time knows this. You wake up on a cold November or December Sunday with freezing rain coming down and the Jets at 3-7, those tickets aren't worth $50. I don't care what section they're in.
Hopefully all the info about no transfer & height have been posted on TGG so nothing new there. No matter what due to my seniority I can get non PSL seats that will get me to the games in 2010 live & in person if I desire. If I decide I want to opt out after 2010 then what did it cost me? NOTHING is the coreect answer. As for no transfer I took the option to transfer them to my grandson age 2 so I would hope that if we desire the tix will be in my family for many, many years right?
You certainly did the right to transfer those seats within your family to protect yourself..I did the same thing. But, in reality, that's not much been much of an issue to date. The Giants have not allowed transfer of their season ticket rights for years, so people just arrange for the ticket exchange after delivery. The Giants cash the check and apply the $ to the account...they don't look to see who sent them the money. There are tons of dead people who are still on record as Giant season ticket holders..I know (knew) quite a few.
This is what I plan on doing, I talked to my dad about it and it wasn't as uncomfortable of a conversation as I expected.
Since all seats for the Giants will require a PSL then the problem of willing them goes away as you can obviously will your PSL which comes with the right to buy the seat. Look at the bright side, you could be in Dallas where the club seat PSL's go for $16000-$50000 and the better seat licenses go for $100,000-$150,000 http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcon...stories/112907dnmetseasontickets.2bd58bf.html
Yes but I am a NYJ season tix holder not a NYG season tix holder & up till now the NYJs always allow U to transfer U seat to some one else dead or alive even outside of you immediate family The NYGs example has zero effect on me & most likely most other NYJ season tix holders
Actually, what I wrote has EVERYTHING to do with you as a future season ticket holder in the non-PSL Upper Deck. "Up till now" has absolutely nothing to do with what I wrote. Once you get your Upper Level non-PSL seat in 2010, the Jets will factually adopt the policy that the Giants have had for years. The Jets current policy will be irrelevant. And then what I wrote will become your reality. You're welcome.
You mean about the non transfer from here on out? That is rather quite old news or should I say quite stale old news. It is sort of like U supposedly perusing ALL the newspapers & not finding any info ever on the new stadium being able to be domed. Then I posted the orginal announcment that the stadium can been domed which meant U have never ever read at least that article which was in the Daily New. Again who cares about the NYG policy since we all know that the NYJ UD non PSL seats are from here on out non transferable in name but can easily be sold year to year to someone who does not want to pay a PSL but still wants to go to the games
Wow, you truly are the dick people say you are. I'm sure you wear that as some sort of Badge of Honor. Not everyone is a crotchy old man that's spends all their waking hours on a messageboard. So, for those people who have a life, who may not have been aware of the Giants policy and, God forbid, might have had a concern about future transferability...I posted a solution. Beyond your comprehension to understand, I suppose. Pathetic and sad, all at the same time.
One and only warning - stop the name calling please. It's unnecessary. Plus, whether you agree or disagree with champ, you won't ever see him calling people names. SLW is the worst he's ever called anyone, and some even wore that as a badge of honor. Thanks. I hope we don't have to address this again.
