Rarr? Don't forget that the league would likely have to increase the roster maximum in order to account for the inevitable increase in injuries, a plus when you also consider that teams will have a harder time evaluating lower bench players with only 2 preseason games. Players will also want higher contracts for more games. Owners must envision a huge profit from those two added games to cover the added expenditures. The logistics alone of that prospect are frightening.
Great Idea. Should have happened earlier. This means less meaningless pre-season games and an early start to NFL Season.(August) Love it.
Why increase the roster maximum? Every years there are so many players on NFL teams that play like 1 or 2 games only. Having more games to play also means you cannot only worry about your starters but you must also have good depth... I think that's a good thing as it gives more players a chance to prove themself.
if they do decide this faite then add the games on the beginning of the season instead towards the rear.. start the season closer to aug rather then go further into february..
