Cutler not interested in Broncos. Cutler thwarts McDaniels contact try (23/3/2009 7:42 PM) Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports Josh McDaniels may be saying Jay Cutler is his quarterback, but Cutler is not ready to call McDaniels his coach. According to an NFL source, McDaniels sent a text message to the disgruntled Cutler before arriving here at the owners meetings. Cutler did not respond. Cutler, who finished the past three seasons as the Broncos' starting quarterback, has formally requested a trade primarily because he's at odds with McDaniels. http://blog.theredzone.org/ViewItem.asp?Entry=691 Tanny, pull the trigger and call the Browns and Broncos. If Mangini is such a good friend, get it done.
Yes, McDaniels says he wants him to stay. Cutler says he still wants out. McDaniels texted him and Cutler didn't reply. Nothing has changed except Denever trying to play the media now.
and the new york media is now pushing for the trade.... meyers is on NFL Network talking about the Jets interest in Cutler. The man looks like a moron.
If the Jets want him they will probably get him. Both he and Favre have the same agent, Bus Cook who the Jets have a great relationship with.
defenses wouldn't play 8 up against Cutler because they know what he can do... it would be the same as last year with the respect that defenses gave Favre.
but the broncos have to sign off on the trade, and they will want a QB in return. if they have the 12 and 17 they can get one in this draft. We have to just sit and watch until late april because nothing is going to happen until then.
Oh, yeah, what I meant to say was that if there is a trade then the Jets and Cutler should have no trouble reaching a new contract that would allow the Jets to fit him under the cap and still do the other thinks they may want to do.
Did you notice McDaniels clears his throat after every question he's asked about Cutler? LIAR!!! He looks like a wise ass punk doesn't he?
He may not last a full year. I would think Bowlen is kicking himself. Maybe not for firing Shanahan but for hiring this bum. McDaniels meets with the full media today, that ought to be a hoot. They will tear him apart.
McDaniels has alienated the best player on his team to a point where he will not even talk to him. An all pro QB and the face of the franchise hates him before even one game. ....and we, as fans, thought that no other BB disciple could screw up media realtions worse than Mangini. Boy were we wrong!:breakdance:
All three are valid point being discussed in the other cutler thread. I tend to agree most with #1 on your list. I've even posted about it in the otehr thread where all cutler talk goes.
You probably should have started a new thread to announce that you're starting a new thread. Your announcement is going to be hardly noticed by posting it here. Come to think of it, I probably should have started a new thread to tell you this too, so that it would be more noticeable.
yet there were playing behind in the 4th quarter in nearly every game last year. you have no idea what your talking about.
This thread is pure comedy. I'm still waiting to hear from someone on this board come up with a better option than Jay Cutler. If the answer is Ratty or Clemens......then you obviously don't want this team to make a concerted effort to put the best team they can on the field.
So why is Ratliff or Clemens going to be any more effective with all those problems? Wouldn't they be hampered by a lack of talent and a ground game too?
