If they didn't sign Pennington they would be going full tilt for Cutler. There are blessings in everything.

A player is worth what teams will pay. Circumstances of the buyer only play into a market that has more supply than demand. The NFL has a shortage of QB with Jay Cutler skills. Hard to believe that this won't be a sellers market.

This just in, Clemens has requested a trade. He believes that the team does not have a commitment to him given all this Cutler trade talk and only wants to play for a team that wants him.

I get the joke but what must be going through KCs mind? he was supposed to battle for the starting job last year and they trade for Favre, he's supposed to battle for the top job this year and now there are Cutler rumors. I hope he's mentally tough enough to deal w/ this again.

I honestly feel bad for the guy. What he does have going for him is a contract that's going to allow him to leave at the end of the year and there's enough teams in the league with no QB who might give him a shot.

Chances aren't great that we can make a deal for Cutler. Hopefully Clemens has the fortitude to shake this off if we don't make a deal.

This is absolutely true. Cutler has what it takes. With these rumors swirling around how can Kellen Clemens not want out of this situation. If I were him I'd want out to

Hey, I see that you're new. Posting fake news like this may get you banned. I know you are being sarcastic, but at least edit your post and indicate that.

I don't see anything we have that the Broncos could want (i.e. QB), so unless its some 3-way deal, I don't think we have a horse in the race for him. I'm not sure whether he ends up staying with the Broncos or going to another team that can offer up a QB. The only possible scenario I can imagine is maybe the Lions giving Denver the number 1 pick, Jets get Cutler, and we give the Lions a crapload of our picks this year and next. That would be a bad move in my opinion. If it were Drew Brees, maybe not a bad idea.
We just need to keep our 3 QBs and let them battle it out. No sense in mortgaging our future. I'm sure one of the three will be serviceable provided our O-line can keep them from getting sacked 50 times a game.

The point of my first post is that Clemens is in a precarious position. I for one believe that the Jets should give him a chance, as any trade for Cutler will involve giving up our first round and/or second round draft pick this year and I believe that those picks can help fill some of the other holes that the team has.

If your reason is 18 INT's in a season then here are some other QB's you wouldn't be happy with:

Peyton Manning: 28 INT's, been at or over 18 3 times.
    Roethlisberger: 23 INT's
Elway: 23 INT's, been at 18 or over 3 times.

When you are down to your towelboy as RB and have to throw 660 times in a season, you are gonna have some INT's.

people can say what they want about cutler being a whiner or crybaby, but if he was indeed told by ownership that the offense would be in tact, and then this guy comes in and fires everybody and tries to trade for his old QB...i'd be pretty pissed too.

McDaniels seems to think he's bill belicheck. guess what asshole? You're not..you're a first time head coach in a new organization. Your reputation doesn't warrant that type of behavior. You can't just show up and then act like an asshole right away without any head coaching experience. McDaniels rocked the boat too much, too early.. and if i was "supposedly" an integral part of the organization and people were doing things behind my back, cutler has a right to be upset.

It's one thing to show you're no nonsense, but to do it in an untactful and assholeish way that McDaniels did is stupid. and the broncos will pay the consequences of it.

cutler has always been a straight shooter....maybe a little cocky, but you can tell loyalty and trust are important to him. he's never been afraid to say what's on his mind

If this was it's own thread, I would say, "Absolutely", but given what others have posted I think it is OK.
