The Broncos still don't HAVE to trade him. And if they do, it will send the worst message possible to the rest of the team, especially the younger guys that if u dont like the way things are run, kick and scream and we'll appease you
That may be the only spot in the article where he hits the nail on the head. Outside of that its an error filled mess. I can't belive this hack got a job as a sports writer. Has the wrong draft year for cutler. The Wrong Jets GM in 2003 for the Robertson draft. Seeing as Robertson and Cutler were not in the same draft, you could not have "picked one over the other". The article is a mess.
unless there are a huge contingency of players on the Broncos who want out that is irrelevant. most players can't afford to get cut and most players are hardly worth trading for (in case you haven't noticed, trades in the NFL are few and far between), so that is hardly something to be concerned about for a team.
I think the jets def need to go after Cutler with everything they got... why not? they want after favre gave him 12 mill. draft pick.. it would be crazy that they don't do everything they can to bring in cutler.. hes 25 years old. No brainer
you cant listen to ANYTHING espn says... they def have the greatest one hour highlight show in sports... but as far as Rumors, and inside info.. they have nothing. They just make up stories to stay competitive with Bloggers..
Honestly, ever since I got NFL network, I can't say I've tuned in to ESPN except for when they show NHRA.
I contribute more to this board than YOU could ever hope to...just by passing gas. Anyways....regarding Cutler.....with the Jets working out a few potential QB's coming out of the draft...they obviously don't believe in what they have in Clemens/Ratliff. Going after Cutler would be a no-brainer....and would solidify that position on our roster for years to come. All this talk about him being a whiny bitch... is just the media making a mountain out of a molehill . The guy was obviously "f*cked over" by McDaniels...and when McDaniels' plan to get Cassel blew up in his face...he didn't account for damage control. Cutler was told one thing by the owner..and felt he was stabbed in the back. McDaniels obviously never wanted him....why would he want to stay there??!! This is an excellent opportunity for the Jets.....
If you look at the way the Jets put together the Favre trade other than the money, they fatored in that they were going to get something back for Vilma, so it sorta worked out OK, other than Favre destroying the last 5 games of the year, and we got absolutely nothing for Chad except a near loss on opening day and a butt-kicking on the last day of regular season. I think Cutler will control a lot more of our curretn as well as future draft picks plus a named player from our club if we are going to get him. I still say this thing has a very long way to go.
I like Cutler, but his personality worries me. But, I expect if he decides to pull any baby bullshit, Rex will put him in place. He looks like the coach that will put people in their place if they start any unnecessary drama. For Cutler, being in a running offensive system suit his ego? If he keeps everything he check, we will be hard to stop. With Cutler, we have a deep threat where if the defense tries to sneak up too much to stop the run (noting that the run is established first), we have a accurate? quarterback that can fling the ball down field like a Nerf ball.
Don't forget a revitalized division rival that had appeared to be a couple years away from competing.
I heard a rumor today that Jay Cutler saw the image of Rex Ryan in his pancake syrup this morning, and reportedly called his agent and a priest. No really, I was installing an ass gasket in the men's room, getting ready to make play-doh, and I heard two other guys in the next stalls talking about it.
You spend too much time worrying about me I also wouldn't mind Josh Freeman Who do you want? I want to win and that means if we need to bring in players to do it, then so be it. I think you are sad that you want to attack me, but go ahead if it makes you feel like a better man, but if anything you have shown that you are not too bright
Yes I see Where you Are Coming From I will try To follow your amazing model Of not being able to structure a Post in a readable fashion.
Offer this years second, D Harris , B Thomas and next years second / fourth and fifth Harris is a good player but this franchise needs a qb that it can build around for 10 years plus denver would be getting a decent deal. Thomas whilst not a great pass rusher would improve Denvers DE/OLB immediately. Then we trade back from 17 and pick Malauga to replace Harris.
I'm getting excited Tannenbaum will get the guys that he really wants, he's shown that he won't hold back in that regard. With each passing day, I start thinking Tannenbaum is turning into:
Trade back from 17? You mean up? Theres a strong possibility the Chargers take Rey. The Texans are a threat to pick up Rey as well.
