    I'm for the players
Not the owners and damn sure not for the media who in turn work with the NFL
Your right, it is a business
But in this business of billionaires, who do you think is going to be put under the fire?
    The players or the owners?
Wake up Son, you need to know how a business is run and it is obvious you don't

Big deal, he threw 18 INT's last season. There are factors that contributed to all those and one of them is the fact he threw the ball 660 times.

He threw 18 INT's, I assume he had 2 fumbles lost too?

When you throw the ball 616 times for the season you will probably have a lot of INT's. When your defense is so awful that you need to keep passing in come from behind situations you're probably going to throw more INT's.

Favre threw a pick per every 23 passed he attempted last season. Cutler threw a pick for every 33 passes he attempted. Rothlisberger was 1:31 and Brees was 1:37.

On his career Cutler is 1:34. Peyton Mannings career INT/Attmpt ratio is 1:36. Penningtons is 1:38.

edit: In 2008 Brees threw 17 INTs and was also over 600 attempts. You have to go back to 2002 to find a QB other than Brees in '08 who threw more than 600 passes and less than 18 INTs.

In '02 there were 3 of them
    Code:
                     att int
    Rich Gannon 618 10
    Drew Bledsoe 610 15
    Tom Brady 601 14

I wonder if Ouchy ever located that "leadership" on the Jets sideline last season....

Very serious. The minute the guy doesn't get what he wants, he is ready to cause a ruckus. The rest of the team is trying not to let all this be a distraction, Pat Bowlen tried to fix the situation and now he is not sure how to handle it. Cutler acted like a sulking little kid that no matter what you do, can't be satisfied.

This is the last thing the Broncos wanted to have do deal with with a new coaching staff. This may really hurt McDaniels chances of being successful.

And most Bronco fans are saying that Cutler needs to grow up. It's not just a few posters here.

The mere fact that the Jets didn't give the job to Kellen Clemens last year, and that they are even entertaining the idea of drafting a QB in the first round this year...it shows that they don't think they have a starter on the roster. Cutler is the best QB available by leaps and bounds. It doesn't matter if Tannenbaum liked him coming out of college (or at least it shouldn't.)

This isn't rocket science. You have to at least make a competitive offer for the guy--if you get outbid, that's a shame, you move forward through the draft/free agency. But the Jets have to at least kick the tires on the guy, no matter what.

Ya because it was stupid to suggest we had no leadership while we slipped into oblivion last season. What a great post and contribution to the topic.

No need to cite anything. In Clemens case he would haven been playing already. He is starting his 4th year and the Jets are telling Denver they want to trade..well duh....Ratliff has nothing in his pedigree to make a case that he would ever be more than a backup either. You don't sign undrafted FAs because you think they are franchise QBs. At least NFL teams don't. Could either make it? Possibly but as I said the odds are really really small.

Your posts are so biased and half-headed they are negligible. I just did a quick search and all you do is schlob all over Cutler's knob. Forget I said anything, because there won't be any objective posts coming from your direction.

Plus, you wanted Michael Vick. What was I thinking?

Probably the fact he made all-pro and threw for 4500 + yards in his second year as a starter..just guessing.

I didn't see you posted this. Not spelling ratliff's name is the least of his worries regarding this piece.

-Cutler was drafted in 206 not 2003
-Dewayne Robertson had nothing to do w/ Cutler
-Tannenbaum wasn't the GM in 2003, Bradway was.

In my opinion, Denver does plan on trading Cutler. All this "we are trying to repair the situation and don't plan on trading Cutler" stuff is just a smokescreen. They don't want to look like they have to get rid of him. This will allow Denver to have a much higher asking price. When it's clear that a team doesn't want a player, it's very hard to get proper compensation for him in a trade. Again, this is just my opinion.
