Laurinaitis has been falling a bit recently. Honestly, I don't want him even if we had a shot at him in the second, he's overrated.

I hate Laurinaitis as much as the next guy, but I think the value may be right towards the end of the second round.

Also, I like Shady McCoy dropping into the second. I just don't see what anyone sees in him. He's no Jamaal Charles, he's no Chris Johnson, he's no Felix Jones. All of those guys were late first - early second round running backs and deserved those grades (maybe should've gone a bit earlier on all three of those counts). He is just not that good, and I think that he will get wrecked at the pro level. Sure, he can make some people miss, but he has zero power.

Of course, last year was one hell of a running back class, whereas this year is largely a disappointment.

I would love Laurinitis in the second, but Greene works for me very well. I see my favourite player in the draft going round 2 Jacksonville, That would play out just like MJD a few seasons ago, Jacksonville always gets my sleepers or favourite draft year guys. I like Gilbert but he does scare me a little because of the rising from 3rd to 1st, but damn that guy can jump out of a pool, lol

Dude, like, thats great input there. Awsome Bro!

    Yeesh.

I like It for the Jets Jabba. Jarron Gilbert is going to be a very, very good 3-4 DE and has a good chance to go in the spot before we pick.

With Jones aging and unhappy, Shonn Greene can start eatign up short yardage, late power running now and take over in a year or two.

I'd love a receiver in the Second, but your picks and not bad. Certinly not worth you getting called "dude". :breakdance:

I would much rather take Freeman in the 1st and I think Gilbert is a reach there, but I wouldn't be angry with the pick.

    Greene at 52 is perfect.

If we get Freeman I will be sour for a long time, There is only two QBs I would want in this draft and one is at the top and one will be in the 6th. Sanchez and Freeman are not even on my radar, especially for where they will be drafted

I'd be perfectly happy with Gilbert at 17. Guy has a phenomenal motor and will definitely command blockers. I'm not a huge fan of taking 3-4 DE in the 1st round generally, but when a guy like Gilbert (or Richard Seymour) comes around, I have no problem with it.

I like Shady better than Shonn Greene personally, but its a matter of preference.

In a perfect world, that 1st rounder would go towards getting the QB I want, but I digress :) Good stuff Jabba as always

    Impressive analysis!

But seriously, this draft has some interesting trends. Tackles are falling, which I don't see happening, and 3-4 OLBs are hot. Connor Barwin at #10 overall? See, this is why I love reading your mocks. You always have a few shocker picks like this one that makes sense. Even if Barwin doesn't go that high, he definitely has a shot to go Top 20.

Do you think KC would pass on Aaron Curry for Everette Brown?

I don't like Aaron Maybin as a top-10 pick. If Jason Smith falls to #9, the Packers have to take him.

I think the Broncos will look defense at #12, but Moreno would be a good idea especially if they lose Cutler.

Isn't #13 a bit high for Andre Smith anymore?

Gilbert has become my favorite pick at #17 since Hakeem Nicks' had an awful pro day.

I don't think Philly goes with a TE that early. Brent Celek had a big postseason and is actually a good TE. If anything, I could see Jared Cook there however, since he's more of a WR/TE hybrid.

Does Ayers play DE or OLB in the Cardinals' 3-4?

The Lions need a left tackle badly. I think William Beatty is a much better fit at LT then Eben Britton.

I'm not the biggest Shonn Greene fan, but again, I wouldn't complain..

A lot of criticism here, but overall I liked this mock a lot..

I really cannot see the Broncos going Offense, I mean they actually have some good pieces even if Cutler leaves, but there D has no one, I mean they were so bad they cut dwayne robertson, thats pretty bad

Barwin at #10, wow. That would be interesting.

I really really hope the Jets draft like this. Just once I want them to draft my favorite players. ONCE!

Edit: I still say Brian Leonard could be our feature back..

Is Gilbert really one of your favorite football players or is he simply a guy you want the Jets to draft?

Okay. I figured there couldn't be many people here who actually were able to follow that guy's college career because he does not play for a team that gets on television too often.

I would like the Jets to draft somebody at his position, but I have no clue if he'll be good or not.

I like Gilbert at #17, but definitely am definitely not a fan of shonn greene in the second. if he's there in the 3rd, yeah. but Robiskie is probably going to be there in the 2nd, or another great receiver that will help out our offense. if McCoy is there in the second, I say we take him, and draft a wide receiver like Tiquan Underwood or Demetrius Byrd out of LSU in the 3rd.
