McDaniels is a 32 year old punk on a power trip. He don't know dick about Cutler. Anybody who knows anything about Cutler would not get rid of this guy. This is a guy who is the centerpiece of your organization. The Broncos always had a great offense, but as we all know it's defense that wins championships.

I don't care so much about a big arm, as much as I am, "an arm"

I just don't think we have anyone at the QB position that can strike fear into opposing Ds. KC showed nothing as far as production and Ratliff is a betting man's pipe-dream so far.

There's nothing wrong with going after Cutler, as long as the price isn't crippling for years to come.

Selvin Young also in his extremely brief career averaged 5.1 YPC. He basically has played less than a year. You Can't go by yardage when he only got 7 carries a game. That is the thing in Denver. Everybody plays. Torain who was only a rookie last year was suppossed to win the job after his intial injury. I think he then broke his arm in his first game back. Like I said everybody was hurt but they are both very young and very cheap. No way Denver would want Jones over them. I think Young was the guy that convinced them they could trade Portis. That says a lot.

I officially hate Jay Cutler and all the threads about him.

Well, I'll correct him and you. Torrain was a complete bust? Are you kidding? He missed 15 games with injury. He averaged 5.7 ypc the one game he did play. Get the facts behind the stats you are so quick to quote.

My reply was really directed at the RB situation and not Cutler.

I've seen enough of Cutler to know that he has some special talent. I'd take him at the right price.

And Timmy Smith ran for 200 yards in a friggin Super Bowl. Nobody ever heard from him again after that 1 game.

Gimme more than 1 game at 5.7 ypc before you compare Torain to a proven commodity like TJ. That's all I'm saying.

Yeah I wasn't even touching the RB debate. I totally agree with you on that one.

Fair enough but you can possibly be serious calling him a complete bust when he was hurt 15 of the 16 games of his only season so far in the NFL.

But he only played a single game. I don't think I'd give up a solid back for a guy that only played a single game.

Week 15 last year against Buffalo, Brett Favre averaged 27 yards per rush! Tanny has it all wrong! Convince Brett to come back and be our starting running back! Dump this bum AFC leading rusher/ league tieing TD rusher! Who wants that crap when you can have Favre running between the tackles. Hell, Favre could maybe even last one game just like Torrain!

Trade this year & next years 1st round pick & we will be set at QB for the next 10 years. If we get a player like Cutler with this D, a good coach, this O line & Leon we can compete for a Super Bowl every year.

So you are comparing a 39 year old QB scrambling on a bootleg to a 24 year old RB?

If nothing else, the acquisition of Cutler would really frost KC's balls, haha.

No I was actually pointing out the lunacy that a good yds/carry average for 1 game does not make someone a better back than TJ...

I guess I am one of the lone few that is intersted in giving one of our young QBs a chance.

I always thought Clemmons would really improve if he got some reps behind a decent O line - which we now have. And Ratliff remains an unknown that is worth giving a shot in something besides a preseason game.

I am concerned that we dont know what we have and going out and getting an expensive QB who could be a future malcontent isn't my idea of good move.
