I give up two number 1's and a third for him before I give up Revis.

Revis isn't going anywhere, especially with Rex Ryan as our head coach. This would have to be a draft based trade, and knowing Tannenbaum, it would probably include a ton of conditions and incentives.

all this talk of multiple draft picks is booshie for a career 80 QB rated QB, who in his last three games of 08 was in the 70s.

McDaniels must know of a significant flaw in Cutler or else this wouldn't be happening.

    Buyer beware.

    over QB rating??

McDaniels wanted the QB who knows his system. That was it.

Cutler gives this team what it desperately lacks - a sure fire franchise QB.

Here's the comparison I make - Flacco has a cannon and mobility, but is regulated to a game manager in Baltimore who, if needed, will take his howitzer and throw one down the field to keep a defense honest.... I can see Ryan and Schotty doing the same thing. Cutler has mobility and a great arm, an arm that can contend with the winds of the meadowlands. If they do with Cutler what they did with Flacco in NY, it would pay dividends. And yes I realize that Flacco is a rookie and had training wheels on for 11 weeks of the season.

I was kind of against this trade at first, but this really makes sense in the long term.

how long has it been since we've had a quality franchise qb? and don't give me noodle, he was average at best.

for a team to compete consistantly every year in and year out for a championship, a franchise qb is a must. the giants knew this and did what they had to do and it gave them a superbowl victory 4 years later. and look how much they gave up to get one. now ask giants fans if they would do it again?

tanny should do what ever he has to do to get cutler, or else we're destined to be second best in the division because of that guy in new england. if we're to have any chance of beating the pats, we need a franchise qb!!

If the Jets get Cutler, I'm gonna be ultra-confident in this team. I knew the Favre acquisition last year wouldn't get the Jets anywhere, but Cutler is a different story.

The Jets might be good next year. With Cutler, the Jets would have the chance to be great. No more foolish band-aids like the Brett Favre failure. Let's get a franchise QB behind center. This division isn't going to get any easier and we need to have some stability behind center. Brady is coming back and the Pats offense will be dangerous. The Bills have TO and Lee Evans, even though its only Trent Edwards throwing the ball. The Dolphins offense gets the ball into the end-zone... somehow.

With Jones looking like he wants a new contract, its time to solidify the passing game and that starts with QB. Unlike Favre, getting Cutler wouldn't be a silly move to sell PSLs (and miss the playoffs). This move would actually help this team. I was so apathetic about last years team. With Cutler and this defense, I'd be ready to hit someone on game day. I'm getting pumped just thinking about it.

    Boomer is spot on.

Ratliff+Revis is better than Cutler. But Cutler is better than Ratliff+KC+Ainge.

If Buffalo get Cutler we better hope that Ratliff or Clemens is going to be great. If not we will have a tough time getting to the playoffs for years. Worst QB in the division makes it a huge uphill climb.

KC would go to another team and prove the Jets where wrong if
    they let him go.
But, If we can get Cutler, go for it.

I can only hope and as Parcells would say, "Don't bother coming back!"

"career"? He has played for two years and you are trying to quote career stats? He also threw for over 4500 yards in his second year and the only other QB that I know of to do that was Marino and he set the all time reacord when he did it. Career?

Its strange , I don't actually like him as a person ( I think), and guess that if he did come to us would change my opinion of him. He has an air of arrogance and swagger about him , 'I know I'm good'. Both of which I might add, I don't think are bad attributes to have as a QB.

I probably don't like him much as a person either but I am pretty sure that a good number of the teams in the NFL would line up to take a shot at getting him if he becomes available. That tells me he is better than anything we have now or anything we will get in this year's draft.

jets have to play their position. i think most teams will do this who are looking into trading for him

in this situation, i really don't think the broncos have much leverage over other teams unless someone stupidly overbids with their offer. Saying you dont trust your coach is a HUGE thing when you're a quarterback. we're not talking about a DB here

Does he throw picks? Yeah, he can be inconsistent..but he's also 26, and at times looks unstoppable. Lets not forget that the broncos rushing attack AND defense has been garbage for 2 years, forcing him to force throws and play from behind. pretty easy to throw interceptions when the defense already knows what you are doing to do. THe kid also played with diabetes!! lol
I knew he was going to be good when he went to Vandy...i saw him pick apart some SEC teams by himself with no help.

YOu know why else we need him? Because he's one of the few quarterbacks that's proven he can play in the shitty meadowlands and its conditons towards the end of the season. you need a quarterback with a big arm to combat the wind

No way in hell the jets trade revis. that was just him throwing a name out there. he's untouchable

17th pick and another pick could probably get it done if he's still adamant on leaving

BIG IF , if Cutler did land with us , I would like to see Ratliffe used as backup , not KC. Would KC even want to be back up yet again ?
