I know a lot of Jet fans want a wideout at 17, and its no secret I like Jarron Gilbert in that spot (though some would view that as a reach), but in light of TJ's recent contract dispute and considering his age (31), where RB's have usually out-lived their shelf life (despite coming off a teriffic season), and considering Rex Ryan has already revealed his blue-print for success .. dominating defense with a strong running game .. and lastly, considering no-one can really argue with the value of Knowshon Moreno at 17, do you think maybe we should at least start entertaining the idea? I have to say I think Moreno should be a serious consideration for the Jets, and my guess is that he probably is Not that it matters, but he's also from the tri-state area and a life-long Jet fan
Id like a link to that please... I wouldnt mind entertaining the thought of Knowshon, but I think we seriously need to do something about our passing game.
A link to what, that Moreno is a Jet fan from the tri-state area? That's common knowledge, Sci, he talks about it openly .. even said he hopes the Jets draft him cause that's his team
I'd take Moreno in a heartbeat if he fell to us. I have a feeling TJ will be getting the boot next season.
I certainly wouldn't mind Moreno at 17. I like some other options better, but he's the best back in the draft IMO and would solidify that position for a long time after Jones is gone.
Yeah, after hearing that Nicks sucked a donkey dick at his pro-day I'd say K-Mo is one of my top choices at #17 next to Vontae Davis.
yesssssssssssss you really do I think Moreno is going to be a great back Plus, having Jones already allows Moreno to work up to the NFL level, and hopefully by the time Jones begins to fade Moreno will be good and we can look for a RB latter on
Unless there is someone I missed, and its a big possibility - Knowshon would be the 1st Jets fan on the team since Vinny T. Unless Ray Lucas really is a life long Jets fan.
If we're going to go RB, how about Beanie Wells? What better compliment to shifty Leon than a big bruiser like Wells. Talk about a guy who could close out cold, snowy games for us in the Meadowlands.
I like Moreno alot. Before the season he was considered a potential top 5 pick overall and his offensive line had some injuries. Getting him at 17 would be huge. If the pick isn't traded I'm on the Moreno bandwagon.
I dont know if I want to get a RB who has injury and toughness questions, no matter how talented he is
You know, I'd prefer Beanie first and Brown second, but a first round draft pick who's a Jets fan? That's a precious commodity.
Exactly my thoughts on Wells. There's just something about him that I don't like. I'd personally like to see how Moreno runs at his Pro day as well.
