Mock Draft from another site Well you can tell its a slow day at work  This one isn't my own I found it while going through all the forums I enjoy reading and I've got to say he's done his homework. Ive copied our picks but its a good read if you've got say an hour. For the whole 3 round mock http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=307520&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
Quite apparently, most of those "experts" who write up the mock are simply simpletons. 1. Premier WRs can be had in the later rounds. *T.O, Jerry Rice, Anquan Boldin, Marques Colston, et al - need I go on?* 2. That high-rated 1st round WR is just as experienced as any other WRs Jets have (or any other team has) if not less. Unless that specific team has every corner completely covered except WR spot, there is NO reason to go with WR in the 1st rd. 3. QB is not the kind of position you'd expect impact from year 1. If Jets are looking for impact, they should be looking elsewhere 4. Jarron Gilbert/Tyson Jackson/et al looks like the kind pick I would make.
1) Jerry Rice was drafted in Rd 1, Boldin Rd 2, TO Rd 3...........so that theory is out. Colston was a rare, diamond in the rough find in rd 7...Saints got lucky. Colston has been good, but hasn't matched his rookie season...injuries played some part, but not all. 2) A team should draft the BPA that fills a need in Rd 1.....even if it's a receiver. If the Jets feel Nicks or Britt is at the top of their board at #17 and fills that need.....so be it. 3) Usually that's correct, but don't tell that to Raven & Falcon fans. If the Jets feel that their QB of the future is there......go for it. 4) Gilbert and Jackson.............can fill a need, but it's no sure thing they will be stars...no matter what the position. Many 1st rd DE's have flopped...just like any position including WR. Here's a fact............1/2 of the 1st Round picks in any draft will become a disappointment....it's not based on what position they play.
Excelent post WW85. Not much more can be added about it. Its funny how everyone loves to bash Tanny for the poor drafting since he took over, but at this point we are getting production out of all but one first round pick of his. Mangold and Revis look like probowl caliber guys. Brick is not far behind that himself. Keller looks to be a very good young receiving TE. Only Gholston looks to become a bust. Hopefully Rex can light a fire under him this offseason and get him in the position to make plays.
Gracias...Harp!! I have no problem with MR. T. He's had more Hit's than misses. The draft is an Art, not a Science........research and scouting help narrow mistakes, but nothing is foolproof.
i would love that draft even though i honestly didnt even know who the 3rd round pick is doesnt matter Britt and McCoy would be perfect
