I don't think they just want to get rid of him but the Broncos are extremely deficiant at a lot of positions and talent wise may well be the worst team in the West right now with the exception of Cutler. They signed Simms who I would guess they like and with a full rebuild they may well want to go in another direction if they can get the right deal.

    It's Official!

It is officially official: the Jets are now officially rumored to maybe start thinking about possibly monitoring the Jay Cutler situation, as per Rotoworld:

I sincerely doubt Cutler plays in a Broncos uniform again. Actions speak louder than words; Jay Cutler is not only selling his mansion, but his parents' as well? Couple that with the owner, THE OWNER, saying he is disappointed that he might lose his quarterback... I think he's done.

I'd love him in Green. He's a cocky asshole, but he'd be our cocky asshole. I think about the Brett Favre trade to put it in perspective. If we had made a Super Bowl, nobody would have thought a first round pick would've been a major loss. So...

I would be comfortable with an exact duplicate of the escalator from the Favre trade in next year's draft. I would also give them this year's first round draft pick and Kellen Clemens, who could start for them while Freeman/Sanchez gets ready.

So as I see it, that's #17, probably a second round pick next season, and a young quarterback with some experience for a franchise QB. I think that's a bargain for us, but I think we'd be outbid.

Regardless, I think this situation is the worst start for a rookie head coach in NFL history. How do you let that news leak? Close your fucking office door, Josh!

I think he's way overrated. Cassel is a better overall QB, not to mention, a much better person. What a baby, I understand you guys desperately need a QB, but he's not worth anyone's #1 pick, never mind anything else.

And you guys are not picking high enough in Round One to justify McDaniels trading him to you anyway. Denver has to guarantee they have a shot at Stafford or Sanchez and #17 is way too far away for that.

That doesn't make sense for them. Cutler is young enough and good enough that they would keep him whether they're rebuilding or not, he was in the same draft as Clemens. If I already had him I wouldn't be looking to get rid of him, I just wouldn't go crazy with a deal to get him, especially the way he's handling this and if I'm in New York.

If your boss talks about getting rid of you & than lies to you about it. You most likely will look for a new job knowing that he does not want you. What is your long term future with the company knowing that your boss dont want you? Cutler asking for a trade is like you looking for a new job

Thats not what I heard. I heard he asked to be traded right after Shanny got fired. Then, after the Cassel mess, its gotten worse.

I'd be fine if the Jets traded our first for Jay Cutler - he's a better value than anyone at 17.

As long as we keep the second, we'll be in good shape.

Cutler's never won anything, at least not since high school. He knows he has diabetes and that his career will likely be shorter than the average good starting QB, maybe starting to go over in his early 30's instead of his mid 30's. He's probably just trying to figure out how to turn last season into a huge mega-contract now so that he puts some real money away for retirement. It's the smart thing to do.

He'd be much happier going to a talent-starved Lions team and making 60 million dollars than staying in Denver and making 15.

...And two things I like about Cutler's "character flaws:"

    1) FUCK Phillip Rivers.

    2) Love that he called out Marshall. Love it. Romo was too big a pussy to call out T.O.; Eli was too big a pussy to call out Burress. Fuck John Elway, I stand by that move.

Yeah, even I'd do that and I don't even like Cutler that much.
