Kirwin projects Maualuga to the Chargers at 16, but then he goes on to say ... That bothers me man, cause I know who that is
Olshansky can be replaced later in the draft, easily. Merriman might be done with that knee injury. They need a LB.
I made a comment in an earlier post (Gilbert Thread), that the Steelers would be a perfect fit. QUOTE=WW85;1183107]Probably right, I could see Gilbert playing for the Steelers or Cowboys, if he lasted that long. Seems to me he would be a nice fit in the Steeler's defense.
Jabba....I think you're going be on "pins and needles" while the Chargers are OTC. DE or LB seem to be their best options. I'm certain Ron Riveria wants to make some upgrades to Fat Teddy's defense.
interesting that he only had one DB going in the first round... also Jabba I am starting to agree with you that it might just be best to take Gilbert at 17, and simply because there are so many big reciever prospects in the draft, somebody will slide some into round 2, if thats a guy we want, we should look to move back up and get them.
thats true, I mean just because us Jets fans think Gilbert is the best 3-4 DE in the draft, does not mean that any team in the league actually thinks so. actually i think Ziggy Hood is getting much more hype than Gilbert overall.... That said i think the consensus between all the mocks, is that Tyson Jackson is sliding a little, not because he did anything wrong, but simply Gilbert and Ziggy hood have become more recognized.
check out Gilbert's explosiveness - he can jump out of a pool !
