I like Gilbert, but I'm not convinced, YET, he's worth the 17th pick. I'm certain he wouldn't be there at #52, but #17 is a bit too high for my tastes. If the Jet's could trade down, to late Rd 1, I say go for it. I understand the theory, draft the player you want even if you have to reach......I'm a much more Value drafter.

I like Shonn Greene, I know he's not liked by all, but I have been impressed with his body of work in the Big Ten......might be available later in Rd 2. Shady or Brown are probably the only RBs I'd take in Rd 2, it may be doubtful they would be available at #52.

Mike Wallace, IMO, is a Clowney Clone........I beleve Wallace had the second best WR 40time.....4.33....which is splitting hairs. I believe Clowney is going to emerge, so there isn't a huge need for Wallace. I'd still rather add a physical presence like Nicks.

Cody Brown should be a good fit with the Jets, I'd prefer getting ILB in Rd 3 or 4...Brinkley is on my radar and is a possibilty. I know we have B Scott and Harris, Brinkley could be very valuble in the rotation

I'm a big A Hill Fan, if he didn't get hurt, could have been a 1st day pick. Excellent blocker. I had him in my last mock a month ago:)

I wish you could have gotten some secondary and O-line depth. I know it's impossible to fill all needs with 6 picks...good job.

This is a little changed from when I first saw it (Mo-Mass instead of Brown) but I have to say I like this draft a lot, it's got a lot of the same guys I've been putting in my mocks.

The only problem really is that none of those NTs will be available in the 6th round, I'm pretty positive of that. Anthony Hill should also come off the board before the 7th. I think Wallace is taken a little early, but he has very rare speed so I wouldn't be upset if we reached for him in the 3rd. Other than that, very nice draft.

We don't need Wallace....Clowney Deuce partII!!! Don't be surprised to see Wallace sneak into late Rd 2, his stock has been on the rise since the combine. I'm glad too see A. Hill get his props, I 've liked him for quite a while.

I just like seeing Sammie Lee Hill in there. A backup NT is CRITICAL. And Gilbert is my man-crush, too. Those highlights are unreal. He has the power, the awareness, the athleticism, the hustle. In short: everything.

I just hate the 1st round pick.

I like Gilbert, but not at 17. Give me Nicks, Britt, Sanchez (if he's there), Moreno, and Wells before Gilbert at 17. I could understand us trading down 10 spots or so and taking him there.

Wallace is not exactly a Clowney clone - Clowney has very good straight line speed (4.36 40) but isn't as fast or explosive as Wallace (sub 4.3 40). They have similar size though.

    As for ILB.....Lee Robinson

GM...you're nit picking. You're starting to piss me off and I get along with most everyone, so it must be you. You have stupid ass replys all the time, to prove you're right and everyones else knows jack shit.

GM...Do you want me to admit you know more than myself about the draft?? It's seems you always have to be right and get in the last word.

I wish you could hear yourself and see how you come across...it's very childish.

I apologize to everyone else and Jabba for getting off track, on this thread.

Clowney and Walace are very similar, that's a fact...no need to add Walace with Clowney going to be a big part of the Jet's offense.

I don't know much about this guy, the small school worries me, he's not a flacco at D1AA, he's D3! thats like an upgraded varsity hs team to me.

I've heard good things, but I would much rather take a look at the kid from Texas A & M, McGee. Scouts are saying very good things about the kid. I also like Bomar, but he will be gone by the 4th I think. If he's undrafted, yeah sign him and give him a shot, but I would love to use a late rounder on a kid that has some serious upside like McGee, that's just my opinion though Jabba.

    Hey, that's why he's a UDFA

But I like his tools .. BIG KID with a BIG ARM .. and he posted the kind of monster numbers you need to put up in D3 if you're going to get a combines invitation (as he did), along with NFL measuarables

Anyway, I know its still a long shot and it will take some time if it happens at all, but I think he's worth a look as a UDFA or even with a 7

WW85 -- I was making a simple point, not a personal attack on you like you just did on me. And all I said was something that I would've said to anyone that said Wallace was Clowney 2.0 - you were just the one that happened to say it. Clowney is a fast WR but I wouldn't exactly call him explosive. Wallace isn't only a deep threat, he runs the ball, he returns kicks and punts, and he can turn a 5 yard screen pass into a 60 yard touchdown. Most of Clowney's yards - from college and in his brief pro career - have come from him beating the coverage and then catching the ball down field. While Wallace can do that, he is also very capable of taking a short pass to the house after eluding a few tackler. Maybe Clowney is capable of that - but he hasn't shown it, and from what I've seen I'm not so sure he has that kind of run after the catch ability.

That was all I was trying to say...that and throwing in the guy I like for the ILB need with a smiley face. I'm not trying to prove that you're wrong or that I'm right -- I'm just giving my opinion of something. Sometimes our opinions align, and this time it doesn't, albeit slightly.

That was not a personal attack - he was just stating the obvious. You act like you know more than everyone else and everyone's tired of it.

You've been getting a little better as a poster...starting the Lee Robinson thread was unnecessary though. I'm also glad that mock off-season thread was locked.

The first 3 picks are reaches, i like Gilbert but not that much, and would get a RB or WR before touching him(but i kno u luv him so this is goin one ear and out the other).
In the second if McCoy and Brown were gone that i'd much rather pick the highest rated DB at that spot whoever that was or Ron Brace.
And with Wallace his stock is goin up but we already have Clowney a similar player on the roster id much rather spend that pick on another player.
