I've been playing at my friend's place for the last 7-8 hours or so. My thumbs are just about ready too fall off. I haven't played a SF since II on SNES, but it's ridiculously easy to get right back in the flow of things. Playing as Ken still feels as natural like it did practically a decade ago. I really dig the new characters too. C.Viper has an awesome skill set, though it's pretty easy to interrupt her special moves. Still, it's real purdy to watch when you string out a bunch of her moves. Abel and Rufus are also super easy to pick up and dominate right away. The only guy I'm having trouble handling is that speedy like bastard, El Fuerte. If you guys got it on the PS3, I'd be up for a few games against fellow TGG'ers. I can't wait till my pal gets the pad, though the analog stick works surprisingly well.

I am on the fence about getting it. I downloaded the HD remix of SFII and it just isn't as appealing to me as it was 15 years ago. will the gameplay in SFIV appeal to me more, or are they similar enough that I probably just lost interest in Fighting games?
I got it, it's got the old Street Figter feel to it. A few new fighters, after you beat the game with each fighter (doe's not matter what skill level) you unlock a new fighter. I beat the game with Ken and Ryu and it's unlocks the same fighter.
I still have yet to play online. My buddy with the game is reluctant to do the update for some reason. I'll see if I can play ya tomorrow if you're around...he's planning to bring it over to play on my PS3.
Okay, finally got my own copy. Apparently, beating up on my crappy friends gave me a false sense of awesome. The online world has been shitting all over my pride relentlessly. Anyway, take your shot TGG...my PSN ID: JETS4H0L1C (that's a zero)
Holy crap, I didn't realize we played that much. But yeah, I remember it being fairly close in score...we were practically trading wins all night. I was playing a buddy after you left, and boy did he school me. The score was 13-20, but alot of my wins was just him fucking around or I cheapo'd his ass with Zangief. He even snuck in a couple 'perfects'. /hides in shame. Maybe next time we play, I'll have more characters to throw at ya...sad as it may sound, there are still a bunch locked for me. I just don't really care to play against the AI.
Easiest mode 1 round, lowest amount of AI characters if you just want to breeze through the unlocking process.
Hah, that's pretty damn helpful, but it still doesn't make it any fun to play against AI. I only have Seth, Akuma, Gouken, and Rose left to unlock now. Not really in a rush to do it though. I've been burning a lot of time in trial/survival/time attack challenges. And is it just me, or is that EX Focus Cancel ridiculously hard to pull off mid-combo? I have such a hard time with that. Using the PS3 gamepad probably isn't helping things either. Must...buy...fancy...arcade sticks.
