I'd meet Cotch, and die hards will want to go see Ratliff in person.

I don't have the time to go to Freehold... wait for TC, get it for free.

just out of curiosity since ive never been to one of these types of things: who does this money go to? i assume/hope cotchery, smith and ratliff arent trying to make an extra few bucks signing autographs so who is profiting from this and why should i pay them? unless of course this is some charity thing in which case i am all for it...

The players are under some kind of contract with marketing or autograph companies. The store Pro-Image im sure is making something off this signing also. Triumph Sports usually runs a big football spectaculiar signing in Edison. its cancelled this year,im assuming because of the economy

Hey dad, I spent $30 at the mall today.

Oh thats nice son, what did you get?

Brad Smith and Brett Ratlif's autographs.

Thats nice son. I did the same thing today when I flushed $30 down the toilet.

I would love to go there just to meet the guys. I think it's ridiculous to pay $35 to a guy for him to write his signature on a picture/card, even though I would probably fork over the money just because of my passion for the Jets. I would much rather get a picture taken with a Jets player than have their signature, but that's just me.

I was in that store last Saturday and took home the advertisement.
Under the Ratliff photo it says "Future QB."
Under the Cotchery photo- "Superstar Playmaker".
"Utility Man" is below the Smith photo.

35 bucks for a fuckin autograph, of a guy who has had how many 1000 yard seasons? 1 in his 5 years here. im sorry, i mean i like this guy and think he is a very good #2 wr but seriously 35 bucks for an autograph.

this is the type of shit that is wrong with the nfl these days. i feel bad for all of you guys who do go spend 65 bucks for 3 autographs. jesus could you imagine what it would cost for a big name players autograph. scary.

From what I understand, the players get a set appearance fee and the store gets the per autograph fee. If nobody shows up to buy autographs the store takes a hit.

I agree, paying for an autograph is silly especially since the players are usually accessible in and around training camp.
