I'm really looking forward to some defensive, low-scoring, grind-it-out Jets football this season. Therefore, I think running back is the top priority in the draft, despite all the (perfectly reasonable) clamor for a wide receiver.

If we get one in Round 1: It's got to be Beanie. I like Knowshon, I really do, but his skill set seems too similar to Leon's. Beanie could be our Thunder for sometime. But is he durable enough?

If we get one in Round 2: I hope it's Donald Brown. He's a small guy, I realize, but he seems to run with a lot of power and doesn't shy away from contact. Will he be available at our second pick or will he be swept into the first round by pre-draft hype?

If we get one in Round 3: Rashad Jennings. Yes he played for Liberty, but he also WON with Liberty.

If we get one in Round 4: Shonn Greene. A long fall for Greene, but he is a slow dude. He is also a wendigo.

If we get one by trading down into Round 5: I hope it's because we traded this pick to the Oakland Raiders for Michael Bush. I still think it was kind of foolish for the Raiders to pick up McFadden last year when they already had Fargas, another injury-prone speedster, and Bush, who I think will be a solid NFL running back. Al Davis traded away the best WR in the NFL for a 4th to a hated rival, so this can't be that unlikely a scenario.

Round 6: Ian Johnson. Not a power back, but after that combine, let's take a shot anyway.

Round 7, FA: Motha fuckin' Jorvorskie Lane!!! 300 lbs. of fuck-yo-shit-up!

I agree 100%, i would love to see that dude as a Jet to go along with TJ and Leon....BUT...i believe we already have a power back on our roster and his hame is TONY RICHARDSON...i believe the Jets should give him the ball atleast 5-times a game...

    20-25 carries for TJ
    10-15 for Leon
    5-10 for T-Rich

throw the ball no more than 15-20 times a game...

that would be my game plan going into the seaon wiht either Clemens or Ratliff at QB and only Cotchery and Keller as recieving targets.

You've never heard of the J-Train? He's a 285 pound running back...look him up on youtube.

There's nothing better than seeing a fat guy out run a bunch of linebackers.

Three things come to mind when I think about Beanie Wells, Speed, Power, and "out for two weeks". Shonn Greene has as much power as Javorskie, even if he's lighter. Knowshon lacks breakaway speed, but he plays hard and makes the fans happy.
