I think this a very positive sign for America and its new president.

    Obama was burgin'

Now making the rounds comes this segment from a forthcoming National Geographic TV series "On Board Air Force One," set to begin airing on Jan. 25, in which then-President-elect Barack Obama on Jan. 4 boards one of the planes that will serve as Air Force One once he is sworn in as president.

The episode shows Obama greeting Col. Scott Turner of the Air Force at the start of his "first official flight as the new pilot," according to the narrator, who also notes that Air Force One gets new pilots when presidents change. The trip took Obama to the District from Chicago.

"Good to see you. You're the pilot of Air Force One?" Obama greets him.

"Yes sir, it will be my privilege to serve you," says Turner.

"You know, I've got to say, you're out of central casting. You're exactly what I want the pilot of Air Force One to look like. You look like you know how to fly. You look like Sam Shepard in The Right, 'The Right Stuff'," Obama says.

Technically speaking, both National Geographic and Obama play loose with presidential terminology on the show. Air Force One is the moniker for any of the Boeing 747s that carry U.S. presidents. But since Obama had not been sworn in at the time of the flight, it was likely given a "special air mission" label for the occasion. Now that Obama is president, however, the term will apply to any of the Air Force jetliners he travels on.

The show jumps from his entry to Obama ordering his first meal on what will become one of his presidential planes. "I'll see how you guys do a burger," he tells chief flight attendant Reggie Dickson, ordering it cooked "medium-well," with cheddar cheese, dijon mustard, lettuce and tomato. And he asks, "If you have, like, salad or some vegetables or something." When the Dickson asks, "No fries or anything like that?" Obama replies, "Oh, I'll still take the fries."
"Yes, sir," says Dickson, then laughs
    .

A pretty solid, yet simple Barackburg for the new Prez. Augurs well for 4 more years of great burgin'

Not bad. Though anything more than medium is a shame.

    Hey Free is Free . . .

But I just hope they don't dick me over like Quizno's did with their free coupon.

    I like Arby's Horsey sauce.

Sorry fellas but you got to have minimum standards with your Burgin.

I can just imajine what that roast shit burger actually looks like when Julio slaps it together rather than a food stylist. As for that drink, it's a glass of fucking ice with a bit of Pepsi for decoration.

    I'll pass.....not worth rating

^Hey bro, it is what is...a $3.50 sandwich with cheddar and bacon for the cost of a small soda. Can't really beat that one.

I've already printed 20 of these coupons to give out and use. The offer is good 'til March 9. That's a $1.50 meal.

Oh yeah, I'd rate it 2.5 out of 5 lassos.

link if ya wanna print it:

It's true about the soda though.

It's rare that I'll drink a soda anyway, but when I do, I always ask for no ice.

Never eat Arby's early on during an 8 hour road trip. Never.

Did anyone notice that Joe Berger, a Guard from The Dallas Cowboys is a free agent?

A possible Burgin' replacement for Moore?

I was burgin a little today--I had to go to Jersey, so stopped at a Roy Rodgers on the Turnpike--much better than your normal McDonalds burger, but still room to improve

    I give it a 1 1/2

I finally had 5 Guys two weeks ago, it wasn't bad. Not recent enough to give it an accurate rating though.

Yeah, sorry for the rant man. I'm just getting snobby about food in my old age.
If I'm burgin I like to at least try and get some quality. I guess anything can be slapped between buns and called a burger.

If I was a struggling student I'd be all over this deal like flies on shit.

OK, second day in a row eating this free mana from a questionable heaven.

I don't know that I'd be able to finish it without ethanol sauce.

    I really don't.

Scrugs, you even been to The Vortex in Little Five Points? Just went there for the first time tonight, before getting my nose busted at a Black Lips show at Variety. Pepperjack cheese and ground chorizo in a Chile pepper sauce. Would've been good enough like that, but the patty itself was superb. I'd give it 4.5 out of 5 nights of anal with M4P's girl. Only demerit was the bun, which had a tough time containing such a monster burger. But hell, it tried admirably.

    From Friday night:

Juicy patty cooked medium/medium rare with a lighty seared pineapple ring topped with duck sauce on a potato bun.

I gave it 3 David Cronenbergs.
