I see things differently. I see a young QB out to impress and satisfy T.Os yearning for the ball. T.O could compliment a young QB he does give 110% when he plays the game. Any offense with T.O lined up that doesnt utilize him is foolish. Your right though we dont need a true #1 WR we have been so succesful with the guys we've got. I think many of you wouldnt know how to act on a Monday morning or all football season IF this team finally did start WINNING.

Yeah, you're right. I see all the teams knocking down the door to be TO's next victim.

Look, TO wasn't the catalyst to bring Dallas a Lombardi trophy. The Eagles seemed to do fine without him last year.

You think bringing TO to New York will make the Jets an automatic winner. You're entitled to your opinion, but show me the proof. U make it sound like we haven't been to the playoffs for years. We've made the playoffs without him. He hasn't taken the Cowboys to the Super Bowl WITH a proven QB, what makes you think (at 35) he'll be 'the' guy to take us there with an almost rookie QB?

Your arguments are wishful thinking. Stop saying that we'll be Super Bowl bound (and win) with him on our team. Anything less than that he really hasn't been anything better than we've had in years.

Who the hell cares what other teams are doing. I care about the JETS winning and so should you. Are you ok with not having a true #1 WR since Keyshawn Johnson left? Like I said we've been so succesful of late (1969) why change our ways.........

It's just remarkable to me that there are actually football fans (and quite a lot of them!) who still want TO on their team.

Look im saying T.O will make us a better team. If Romo hadnt fumbled that snap Dallas would have gone to the Super Bowl or so you also blame that on T.O. Wishful thinking is you arguing the fact that T.O doesnt produce and fill a need the JETS have for a true #1 WR.

Describe "successful" because T.O. doesn't have a ring either. If by successful you mean he'll "get us to a few Playoffs" then pass.

Go look at his stats and then compare them to the JETS and their WR corps. I believe 2007 season he surpassed the entire team total in TDs. Does that matter or is all about the T.O persona.I like T.O the player and so should you. You act like the JETS are so succesful and NFL is a sanctuary for the goody goody players.

Look at his stats from 2008 or his career. No modern day JET WR comes close. Read them and weep.

but...but..We are so succesful and the formula we've been using has worked so well.

Didn't you also say, "The Jets should sign Keyshawn Johnson again!" - in your "other incarnation" elsewhere? 'Read them and weep', big deal. He'll stay 'happy' for about 30 seconds and pull what he always does. I really wish someone would just haul off and beat the sh*t out of him on national TV.

Could be a rerun but sportsnite is about to debate wether or not either NY teams should take a shot on TO.

I can't believe anyone would want this ass-clown in a Jets uniform. He's far past his prime, and is teh very definition of lockerroom cancer.

Yes id take Keyshawn Johnson back in a heart beat. This team hasnt had a #1 WR since he left. Thats why im willing to take a gamble on T.O we have a need he needs a job and could come cheap.

Im thinking of what Randy Moss did in New England same scenario.

I guess you missed it. The Jets and half the other teams in the league aren't interested in this turd. Time to move on.

If Mangini were still the coach and we had Pennington or Favre at QB, I actually wouldn't mind taking the chance. He's a damn good player, and we just couldn't guarantee much.

But a rookie head coach and a young QB? No way.

The teams that don't want Terrell Owens

    By MJD

Terrell Owens is still technically the property of the Dallas Cowboys, so it would be against league rules for other teams to go on record as saying they are or aren't interesting in acquiring his services (though that hasn't stopped the Redskins).

ProFootballTalk.com, though, is keeping a list of teams that have made it known to them through "league sources" that they have no interest in Owens. As of right now, that list includes:

    The Dallas Cowboys.
    The New York Giants.
    The Washington Redskins.
    The Baltimore Ravens.
    The San Francisco 49ers.
    The Minnesota Vikings.
    The Atlanta Falcons.
    The Cleveland Browns.
    The San Diego Chargers.
    The Philadelphia Eagles.
    The New York Jets.
    The Tennessee Titans.
    The St. Louis Rams.

And the Eagles and Dolphins are listed as teams that are expected to join the list soon. Donovan McNabb and Bill Parcells are the president and vice president of the "Terrell Owens Deserves a Giant Wedgie Club."

But there are no real surprises there, except maybe a couple of mild ones. The Redskins are always worth mentioning whenever an expensive free agent is available, and the Vikings wanted T.J. Houshmandzadeh badly, but whiffed. I guess they're only in the market for sane receivers.
