Ummm, helped to get the cowboys to the playoffs 2 of the 3 years he was there. Led team in tds those 3 years and yards. Let's be real here, the guy is a cancer no doubt, but u can't deny his talent. And sure the cowboys didn't win the super bowl with him but that's not his fault.

2006 - romo botches snap on xp, cowboys lose.

2007 - romo throws int in end zone in final min, cowboys lose.

    2008 - brad johnson, really?

I don't want to see him a jet, but he did help the cowboys win.

That's not the point I'm making, pay attention. It's not his 'A-BIL-IT-Y', it's his lack of being a 'TEAM PLAY-ER'.

Stats speak for 'themselves' true, but don't speak for a persons character.

is it worth putting him in a locker room and destroying the locker room with his constant B.S.?

    No

Like MUDBury and the Knicks, Marbury SHOULD be considered in the upper echelon of NBA players because of his ABILITY, but he is NOT because of his CHARACTER.

It'll be only a matter of time before people like T.O., Manny, Coles, Marbury, etc, etc... come in and create an atmosphere that is unbearable, plus he's 35,

    NOT WORTH IT.

    T.O.:
    2006 Wildcard Round: 2 receptions 26 yards.
    2007 Divisional Round: 4 receptions 49 yds, 1 TD.
2008: Sat at home and watched Playoffs.

Yes, he's a very athletic WR but, when the games have mattered he hasn't shown up. I know you still need the QB to get him the ball but he hardly the flash of greatness that everyone talks about. Great during the regular season. Not so great (in Dallas) when the games mattered most.

T.O = TOUCH DOWNS and an instant #1 WR this team has been lacking for years. He also = a more productive offense when hes on the field. He would make our RUNNING GAME more productive.

He demand his QB be the best they could be. What more would you want a guy who will push the eventual starter Ratliff-Clemens-Ainge. I can see Ratliff throwing a 60 yd TD bomb to T.O in STRIDE something I havent seen from a JETS offense in years..............

A one year deal with this problem child could possibly pay off for both parties. However, i don't think he would come here given our QB situation.

So basically what you're saying is that he's just a very misunderstood guy.

He just demands his QB to be the best they can be, and if that means destroying the team in the process, so be it. Good point.

You're really doing a terrible job at selling the idea that he is exactly what the team needs.

No he demands the ball and wants to score to WIN. T.O is nowhere near perfect. Hes had issues but put him in uniform and put him between the lines and its an entire new ball game. Check his stats hes proven alot on the field. He alone had better stats than the entire JETS WR corps in recent years. Ever hear of a change of scenery with a coach who believes in a player.

Bottom line Dallas and Jerry Jones chose Tony Romo over T.O.
Lets give him a chance a 1 yr deal loaded with incentives..WHY NOT?

Yes it did, 56 yards. The year before we had Chad to Coles 57 yards in stride. If you watch the games you will see it.

Yeah, I was going to add that to my post. I was beginning to think he watched his share of football during the season thru Sportscenter. But, I would've thought that play would've made the highlights, being that it was Brett Favre's 1st touchdown pass as a Jet.

Now I'm just starting to believe the guy doesn't watch football at all and just comes here to talk out of his ass.

I've heard of the change of scenary bit. What makes you think his 4th change of scenary will be any different than the first 3?

So, Jerry Jones made a mistake choosing Romo over TO? They should've cut Romo and kept TO? Please explain.

A 1-year incentive ridden deal wouldn't sound so bad, but TO originally signed with the Cowboys the same way. He behaved for the 1 or 2 years he was there. It was when they extended him (last year) that he let the real TO come out. You may think you can take advantage of the first year or two when he's behaving, but he gradually does this with every team. You tell me to look at the stats, I tell you to look at the teams that left him and why. If you still think the stats outweighs the bad, I'd have to say you're standing alone making this case.

1 pass in 1 game and that satisfies you as a fan? I want this to happen a few times a game or weekly. Not 1 pass in 1 game pretty lame. Highlights are made weekly.

Hes 36 time is running out. Offer him a 1 yr deal with a 2nd year option. The JETS brought Favre with the thoughts of a story book ending it didnt work out. We still won 9 games. Many of you think we will only win 9 games anyway. Whats to lose? A young QB with a weapon at WR. I know a young QB will be more productive with T.O than without him. T.O is a very productive player. How come no one is arguing that?

Yeah, a young QB being yelled at and humiliated each time he misses a "open in his own mind" Owens. TO is the last player this team needs.
