So much for the "hometown discount". Weren't the Cowboys offering him something like $30 million over 5 years?
Ray Lewis has lost a lot of speed, I'm glad the Jets didn't sign him. I honestly expect the Ravens to go into decline, their defense won't be the same and there is a difference between the QB being good for a rookie and being good.
They really only lost a starting ILB and a backup Safety. Lewis still has some gas left in the tank for a season, maybe 2 tops. Supposedly I heard it's not the DC that makes that defense, it's the system. If that's the case I don't expect to see much of a drop off.
What exactly did we lose? Rex Ryan is replaceable as have been the numerous other coaches. Bart hurts this year, but Jimmy was a backup.
You lost your DC and his main assistant. That means you start over. Even if he has been there one year he isn't going to replace Ryan.
What a total douchebag. After turning down a contract he enters free agency and tries to shop around at different teams, only to find that ... no one is interested. So then he in turn takes the Ravens up on their contract offer and then says Baltimore is where he wants to be. This is after saying that it would be his "dream" to play for the Cowboys. What a piece of shit. Maybe he should just say "This is the best offer I had, so I'm going to stay in Baltimore."
