This guy is ridiculously overrated, he completely sucks. He's athletic with good hands but can't cover anything. I think he let up the most yards out of any CB in the NFL last year (or maybe it was receptions, but still). He had one year with a shitload of ints and a shitload of blown covers (which you can't see in stats) and everyone thinks he's great.

Shawne Merriman was hurt all season if any of you guys forgot, so the Chargers had no pass rush what so ever, not trying to make excuses for him because his does to get exposed on some plays because he is almost always looking for the pick, but put him somewhere where like Baltimore or Pittsburgh and he would be a beast like he was last year.

This guy is far too inconsistent...he had a horrible year ... plus we're not going to pick up another #1 or #2 CB.

quite possibly the single most overrated player in all of football. He has crazy athleticism, and once he has the ball in his hands he is unstoppable. BUT as a cover corner he is the worst starter in the NFL. If you look at his stats, which im too lazy to bring up, he ranks dead last out of all corners in many major categories. Unless we only give up a 7th rounder so he can return punts for us, no thank you.

I guess I'm in the minority. I'd love to have this guy. He was hurt all of last year, so I'm willing to give him a pass. He's got the size and athleticism we need at CB to handle the big possession type receivers.

    hahaha.

"how is this Jet related?!?!?!?!?! . . . I want written, documented proof from AT LEAST 3 media outlets that Cromartie is either a) currently on the Jets roster, b)currently being pursued by Jets upper management, c)currently being pursued by the Jets for a media position, d) currently being considered for a guest appearance on a Jets calender, e) conspired with Brett Favre to Pick off one of his passes last year in the Jets-Chargers Monday night game in week 3 - resulting in a huge NFL scandal, etc"

If you would have asked me about him before last season, I would have said "fuck yeah". But he was so bad last season. I don't know. I do think he has a lot more potential than people give him credit for, though. And btw, even though he gets burned far too much, he is a int return TD machine.

I'm guessing you've haven't watched him play more than once or twice, both during last season right? He's a decent man cover corner. Not a lot of experience though, so he actually still has upside.

You're referring to his injured season this past year, correct?

He played all last year with a broken hip I think.

I'd trade a 3rd round conditional for him, turns into a 2nd if he does x, y, and z. But the Chargers are probably wanting a 2nd.

Fight? Dude, you're Canadian; I'd kick your ass without even trying.

And what makes you think I'd say anything about the Pro Bowl? That's primarily a popularity contest. What I would of argued was that he's got size and is really athletically gifted. A bit raw, but he can still be taught. He made great progress the second half, two seasons ago. I'm throwing last year out because he was injured.

Doesn't matter much since I don't think the Chargers are really going to trade him, but seriously, fight? You funny.
