    oh my lord..... hahahahaha

brady quinn is a reasonable consideration....but it still wont happen because if anything Quinn goes to Denver and Cutler goes to CLE

Don't forget Woody and Richardson. All the FA last year excelled. They were solid pickups. Jenkins was an absolute steal.

You would rather have Quinn than Cutler? Seriously?

I'd rather not have either one, personally, given the price tag. If I could have either one for free, though, it would be Cutler in a heartbeat.

This is absurd. You forgot our defense with Albert Haynesworth, Nnamdi Asomugha, Ray Lewis AND Bart Scott AND David Harris, Julius Peppers, Leigh Bodden, and Gibril Wilson.

I can't stand Gary Myers, right up to his very punchable face.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Man, It's gotta suck going through life with "a very punchable face!" Too funny.

You're right. We should take a worse QB simply because he won't be throwing the ball as much. I forgot that the Steelers just won the Super Bowl with Byron Leftwich because they decided Ben Roethlisberger didn't make sense on a run-first team.

You are aware, of course, that the Broncos only became a pass-oriented team because of problems with their running game, right? The fact that they lost, what, 6 RBs to injury this season? Despite this, they consistently attempted to run first in every game this season, turning to the pass heavily only when the running game failed.

You do realize that even with that great defense Baltimore only made it to one superbowl right? I get the philosophy Rex is going with, this has nothing to do with Madden dude. GTFOH with that crap.

Why would Cutler cause a TO/Witten situation? That's dumb. If the team is running the ball a lot and winning I'm sure he'd be fine with it.

Cutler is already playing at a level that we can only pray anyone on the current roster will ever match. At some point QB play will be required and if you have the chance to get a guy that has already proven the ability to be a true francise QB at 25 years old you have to make that move.

With a solid running game and Cutlers passing ability teams would have nightmares stopping us. Throw in a tenacious D and top notch special teams and you're talking about a true superbowl contender.

I love writers and people with the "just go get him" logic. Some guy called WFAN yesterday and said the Jets should have traded up in the draft to get a QB. Francesa said "someone has to trade down with you, you can't just trade up because you want to". I got a kick out of that.

This reminds me of what Parcells said when he gave up a 1st and 3rd for Curtis Martin. There isn't anybody in the draft I could have spent those picks on that would be better than Curtis Martin. The same is true now about Cutler.

Gary Myers,,, what a joke, did he not say a few weeks ago that the Jets should go out and sign Warner. Then two weeks later berate the Jets for not building thru the draft and trying to buy a Championship. Now it's go out and sell the future draft to acquire a very talented head case.

Folks get over it, Cutler is not coming to New York the cost would be too high. Also, if this kid can't stand the heat in Denver, can you image how crushed he will be here when the press and fans come after him.

Like it or not fans the Jets look to be sticking to there guns and are determined too see just what we have on the roster at QB this year.

If the talent is that poor, then this year will allow us to find out and fill in all the other needed holes, this should help whoever we decide draft or bring in next season.

1st of all, WhoTF is Cassel? What has he done that puts him up there?

2nd We don't need a Favre or any other fake ass QB who has a rocket arm just because he has a rocket arm!
    Been there, done that, failed.

I'm rooting for BOTH of our QB's. Ratliff has looked great in pre and was in Favre's ear all year on the sidelines.

    byz....

i know dang well the broncs will likely not move him but IF this thing turns ugly i would make sure my team is first in line.....

trouble is if mcdaniel has any say in it the jets would be the last team to get cutler.

look at how belichek colluded with pioli for that "trade"

wonder what BB would do to keep cutler out of NY...

    best,
    jil

They aren't moving Cutler and if they were moving him it wouldn't be to the Jets as our 1st is too low for drafting a franchise QB that they are giving up in a trade, that would be the management's version of suicide.

    I disaagree!

BB screwed McDaniels with the whole Cassel trade. I think McDaniels would deal with the Jets.

A lot of guys outpeformed Elway in his first three years - mainly because Elway kind of sucked in his first three years.
