I agree starting Clowney would be a huge risk, but I think Stuckey played very well last season and proved he deserves a shot as the #3.

I thought Stuckey played very well last season as the #3. I don't understand the negative comments I've read on here about him. My opinion is that he'll be a very good #3 for us for a while.

Buffalo is desperate for WR. I bet they'll sign him.

absolutely... his 1st year when he was hurt all he did was study tape... study study study... you could see what happened when he was left open in the beginning of this year, and when defenses were forced to key in on him... opened up our other receivers...

He'll get a job. The guy gave his all when he played, he just always wanted a new contract the year after signing one. The chip on his shoulder made him a very good player, but also made him a pain in the ass. His teammates loved him. I liked the guy, but the money isn't there for Housh either, or he would have signed by now too.

6th in receptions, total of 32, is not terribly impressive, imo. If he cranks it up a few notches I would be thrilled, but keeping him there while the team puts Clowney as the starter? Very risky move, imo...

Haha true but I dont blame him for that stuff he said at the end of the season. It must have been tough for him to have a career year and then watch some overpaid pre madonna just stop giving a shit and complete passes to the other team.

His stats weren't impressive but what he showed was to me. He showed very good hands, the ability to catch the ball in traffic and good quickness and ability to pickup YAC.

As for Clowney, sure it's always risky starting a young guy without a lot of experience. Someone will have to step up though. Even if we draft a WR at #17 they likely won't contribute much in '09. Receivers usually take a couple/three years to adapt to the NFL and Clowney is going into year #3 (I think).

Seattle is even more desperate and they don't even want to talk to him.

That might be true if he didn't take three of the last four games off like the rest of the team. He had no place saying anything.

I disagree, jones said one thing that he believed he had a right to say (i believe he did too) and he stuck to it. Id rather have a player be honest then get up there and give the same tired bullshit. Honesty keeps a team awake, I have no problem with Jones attitude and enjoy his intensity on the field.

If you are referring to Jones's comments regarding Mangini, I suspect that's not what Winston was talking about.

It is his bitching about wanting a new contract when he's only halfway through the old one that makes him a whiny bitch. He got a 4-year $20 million contract when he was traded to us. He was paid $13 million in the first two years, so now he was bitching about how little he will get paid the next two years, ignoring the fact that he was paid heavily up front.

I haven't heard anything on it since, but he's silly for even suggesting it.

32 catches is not bad for a guy who did not start, and was the third or fourth option on most plays behind Coles, Cotchery, Keller...
