According to John Clayton. Miami already told LC to take a hike. I didn't think his clubhouse lawyer bullshit would be an attitude that Parcells would want to import. LC's reputation for being a pain in the ass has outranked his on the field game play. I'd take him back, at a discount. That's what happens when you go all in bud.
I wonder if the Jets would really want him back. If he doesn't get the contract he wants he's just going to be an unhappy pain in the butt.
As much as I wanted to see him retire a Jet, we really don't need him at this point. I hope he finds a nice home outside the division though and I'd be happy to see him back as long as we pay him what he's worth.
Just like many have said it was a very stupid move to leave 6 million on the table. LC is a good WR but no one is going to pay more than 6 million a year for him. I'm glad to see him go b/c every year he boo whooos about his contract.
Concussions and locker room presence are probably going to play a big part in teams deciding to sign him or not. he's talented, but has lost a step and a bit of focus. he had some drops last season that were uncharacteristic. i think that when you know the next big hit may end your career, its hard to completely focus on making catches in tight spaces.
I think teams, including the Jets are wary of his history of concussions. His rep for whining can't be helping either. He always thought he was better than he was. He was and is a good WR, not a great WR.
Boy coles really played this one wrong, at one point he was one of my favorite jets, but it was time for him to go.
His jersey is 50% off on newyorkjetsshop.com. Roll the dice and purchase one for those who think hes coming back.
