Coles Narrows List to 2 Teams

Which is why I asked if he didn't expand it to two teams. He will end up getting far less than what he had guaranteed from the Jets and I couldn't be happier about that.

 

Coles' asking price will continue to drop to the point where he'll play for anyone. The longer a player sits on the FA list the cheaper he becomes.

 

I sorta feel bad for Coles. Leaves the $6 million for a longer deal. Now he will get the longer deal. 2 years, $6 million. haha.

 

That's not necessarily true. If two or more teams are interested in a player, his price will many times go up. See Calvin Pace last season.

well yeah for a bidding war... but if your price is too high and no one goes near you, then you lower the price.

 

And when the price gets low enuff, the Pats will grab him to take Gaffney's spot at wideout.

 

given that all it will take is a few losses before miami fans jump ship and call for Henne to start...it may be wise to choose Buffalo and the better money offer

I know that Coles is a pain in the ass in the locker room but he always played hard IMO. The man lost one fumble in his entire career. I realize that we need a #1 receiver but I would take two #2's (JC and LC) rather than take the chance that a rookie or Clowney or Stuckey would be a better option. If someone shows they are ready to step up in training camp, Coles can be cut right?? Just a thought...
