All I keep hearing about on NFL Radio is how Sanchez stunk it up during passing drills at the combine, and EVERYONE is giving the 'he came out too early, he's not ready yet' whispers. Trade up for THAT? God forbid Matt Cassel was a Jet. He'd have been run out town prior to taking one snap, because he was unproven. How the hell do you think people GET proven.. they are given a chance. Year after F-in year we hear about he we dont know about our QBS. we have three young QBs on our roster. Lets FINALLY take 1 f-in year and see what we have before we abandon all 3. If Sanchez was drafted 2 years ago and hadn't started by now, he 'wouldnt be the answer.' Once and for all, lets see if we have anything.

it's a joke you can be sold on a guy who his coach bitches about to stay at USC because he's not ready and say he's our guy cause we don't have a QB... if im philly i don't have a problem taking him because at least i have a guy who i know is good ahead of him... if you bring sanchez in here and he THINKS hes the best here... well that's disaster

No, because we don't need a pro bowler. We need a good QB, and that's what he is. He is a solid QB, who has good footwork, who can throw a tight spiral, who is not easily rattled. That's my take on him. I'm certainly no expert. I'm just a lowly Jets fan :p But I do know that the Jets need a QB, and the Jets have the chance to get a good one in the draft, and that's why I think they will jump at this chance.

I wouldn't be too upset if he fell to us and we drafted for him, but I am completely against trading up for him...there are some major flaws about him.

Theres a chance he could fall to us regardless.

The 49ers are looking into Kurt Warner and he is looking back.
The Chiefs don't need a QB now.
The Lions have to improve the lines before they even consider a top draft pick QB. I could see them taking Stafford tho, if his pro-day goes well.
Jacksonville will most likely stick with Gerard.

I think Sanchez is there at 17, for our taking. I HOPE we don't nab him, as I feel Clemens needs a shot behind an actual NFL offensive line and not the shit he had in 2007.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that he does drop to 17, but I don't think the Jets will wait that long. I think they're going to trade up to 8 or 9 to pick him. The 49ers are what, 10?

Our own QBs need a shot, and we need a really good WR at 17.

I'm not saying that our QBs don't need a shot. They'll get their shot. Clemens will show just how bad he still is, and Ratty hopefully will shine. But what happens if they both look like Clemens? Then you need someone to fall back on, especially next season and the following one.

I'm saying that the Jets cannot sit back and do nothing!!! If they do, we could find ourselves at the bottom of the division, Rex Ryan or no Rex Ryan, defense or no defense.

If Warner goes to the 49ers, that certainly changes things significantly.

I'm a "dope," a "moron," and a "clown," but at the end of the (draft) day, you will see I am correct. The Jets will have drafted our future franchise QB. And all of us will be happy for it, and you will thank me for my Note to the Jets :p :)

How is Flacco being a fluke justification for drafting a rookie QB?

it isn't... but apparently we should draft an unproven QB because we don't have a proven QB on our roster

Sanchez is the Gholston of this draft. He has huge potential, but it will also take a lot of work before he is ready for the NFL. We can't draft that kind of player two years in a row.

Sanchez wasn't even a good college QB. I'd be slightly angered if we drafted him at all.
