Lito will have to EARN his money

    If Lito goes back to pro bowl form than he gets the 10 million. If he plays poorly he get cut. Regarding the compensation, From Boland's blog the Jets will get the Eagles #5 next year and the Jets will give the Eagles a 2010 based on incentives. Acoording to Boland, it's almost impossible for ths Jet's to give up a #2 in 2010.

    This is not a bad thread at all. Sheppard will have to earn his money. If he sucks it up, he will be gone. THERE IS NO GUARENTEED MONEY IN HIS CONTRACT

    This is perfect for us. We get to test drive Lito without really investing that much into him. Conrats to the front office on this one.

    Absolutely. If he turns out to be not what we wanted, we can cut ties with him and it will only cost us $3million and a 5th.

    Tannenbaum is learning from his mistakes..

    "The conditional pick in '10 can rise to a second-rounder, but only if he hits an 85% playing-time plateau AND receives the four-year extension. And if that does happen, the Jets would get a fifth-rounder back from the Eagles."

    That sounds so much like the clause we just got screwed with in the Vilma - NO thing. Obviously even if he plays the 85 % we won't give him the 10 million bonus and will rework that deal.
