    The important part:
With TJ getting up there in years and Leon not really an everydown back, I wouldn't mind the Jets dangling a line out there. From limited action last year, he looked pretty solid for a putrid Oakland offense. He could maybe provide a little of that short term yardage this year. Just a thought...

Yeah, I mentioned this during the season. I really think we should take a look at Bush. We are going to be in need of a back to go with Leon Washington in a year or two.

id rather draft moreno then to trade a pick away to the raiders. since he wasnt overly impressive at the combine i think he can fall to 17.

at this point it would have to be a 6th or 7th round pick
we could find something better as a FA or late in the draft...
when TJ is through...we will draft a rb early...until then we have a good 1-2 combo and a solid 3rd back is a luxury we don't have to have

You're right, maybe he'd take Bryan Thomas for Bush, straight up. You never know with that crazy SOB...or he'll want our first round pick for the next 3 seasons.

    You never can tell...

All I know is, you can't ask THAT much for your 3rd string back.

I think thats an old Parcells "rule"...never draft a RB in the first round.

I would be shocked if they took a RB first, that's all. With QB, WR, and DE being more pressing needs, I don't see how they could select a RB in the first.

I would be interested in Bush because having 3 backs would be a nice luxury for a team that wants to really pound the football.

But I dont wanna give up a ton for him and i'd probably rather just draft another RB if it came to that.

I'm fine with drafting a RB, but not in the first round. Compared to last year, this year's crop is really weak at RB.

I wanted the Jets to draft Bush when he went pro, I think he can be a real good running back in this league. Not too many mile on him, and he will have no problem waiting until TJ is either gone or washed up. I think TJ will be good for at least 2 more years and then we can slide Bush right in, with Leon maintaining the same role.

You know nothing about Bush, you just proved that. He played very well towards the end of last year, finally recovered from that broken leg. A 6th or a 7th?:rofl2:

Yes he is. Remember the Draft from last year?!? Every Team had their guys sitting down talking on Blackberrys or PC's and Cell Phones. Al Davis was viewed talking on what looked like a damn Ma Bell Black Rotary Phone from 1977! Funny as all hell.
