So, if all the speculations about our future signings are true how will our secondary look like?

    CB: Revis, Shepard, Lowery, Ivy
    SS: Leonhard, Elam
    FS: Rhodes

    What are we missing?
I think we still need a safety and one or two corners...

If we have Revis/Sheppard/Lowery, I'm not even sure we need another corner. I have questions about Leonhard but that still looks like a fantastic lineup to me.

our secondary would go from underpreforming and below average to elite. now if we can blitz more and get that pass pressure going, our secondary will be absolutley dominant.

Ivy would be the nickelback. Unlike most people here the CS probably sees that Lowery is a slow zone corner and probably won't fit the scheme.

I agree... in fact i was talking more in terms of depth guys, not potential straight away starters... I think one CB will win the 4th spot out of training camp and for the second oe i was thinking more of a db who can fill in when needed and hae a chance to learn behind this great line up. Someone versatile maybe in the low rounds of the draft...

i think we would need to worry about other things way way before we worry about more safety and CB depth

Finally we will have a sold secondary. I can't remember the last time...98/99 maybe. I'm very happy.

You can have the greatest secondary known to man but if you have no pass rush it won't matter.

Well, we have three guys that will need to get to the QB (Pace, Thomas and Gholston). I have a very good feeling they will get the job done. Especially with Rex Ryan's blitzing scheme

    If everything goes through:

CB: Revis, Sheppard, Lowery, Ivy, Coleman

    S: Rhodes, Leonhard, Elam, Smith

I can still see us drafting a S and CB, then dumping Coleman and Smith at June 1st cuts. That would be a fantastic secondary.

I've lost alot of faith in B. Thomas.. I think the guy just plays when he wants to. Maybe Rex can beat the living sh1t out of him with a shovel and get something extra.

    Gholston.. big ???? there.

Pace.. he's cool.. not that good in coverage though.

Actually what I'd like is a good backup for Jenkins.. cause when he went out of the game we really struggled

Even if we get Sheppard we are going to need another CB. Ivy would be a good fit.

Revis, Sheppard, Ivy, and Lowery would be very nice.

I'm really not worried about Gholston. I really think he is going to breakout next year.

I think he is too because teams will leave him some space since they'll have to worry about our other 3 LB :D
I honestly feel that if we can get a good DE like Olshavsky or Canty, for rotation with Coleman and Ellis, we have one of the best defenses in the league.

I was saying that before he was drafted, but Im not sure what Ryan's plans are for him. He isnt very fast, but is great at reading plays as they unfold in front of him. If Leonhard doesnt get signed, I can honestly see the Jets drafting a CB in the mid rounds and moving Lowery to Safety. I would not complain one bit.
