first off on the sacks total, he is an ILB, and in a 3-4, ILB's tend to total less sacks than OLBs. next point, because he was playing with such great players, there are only so many numbers to go around. If Suggs was getting 10+ sacks a year, no one else was going to match those numbers. Also Lewis was still racking up the tackles, again if Lewis is good for 150+ plus tackles scott cant also average 120+ those things just dont happen.

Heck when was the last time a team had two guys with 10+ sacks in a single year?

People don't seem t know that Harold Lewis, Scott's agent said publically that the Ravens would be given the right of final refusal. It was in the Baltimore Sun, and I'm sure they told that to the Jets as well.

The right of final refusal was public. The Jets surely knew this.

Exactly, it's the ILB(s) responsibility to stuff the run and cover the middle of the field so that TEs aren't running free all game...they don't rack up a lot of sacks

That's bullshit. If they knew the offer last night they could have gone to the Ravens then and asked them if they would match or beat it.

The Jets agreed in principal with the Lewis, the agent, before Scott even headed to New York. They spoke last night shortly after the deadline. That's wtf I'm talking about.
