    you might think so, but I seem to remember that the Mets contract to Beltran included a signing bonus to offset the fact that there is no state tax in Texas (and Beltran had a similar offer excluding bonus obviously from the Astros as I recall)

    Mike Preston, of The Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens CB Samari Rolle has refused a pay cut from the $4.1 million he is expected to make this season. With the signing of free-agent CB Domonique Foxworth (Falcons), Rolle could be released soon
