And you KNOW that this was a FIRM ACCEPTED DEAL from ... ???

You apparently are the only person in the world with this info (except that Schefter sorta, kinda claims he does too).

way to live up to your title. not to mention the fact that a contract that is accepted can't be broken by either party unless it is agreed upon by both, so the team couldn't pull it and the player couldn't break it. that's why it is a contract -- it binds the two parties to it.

The deal is rumored to equal $40-million dollars and should average out to $8-million per season.

There is a school of thought that you WANT mean, smart sons of a bitches playing on your defense, you know.

I'm not saying he is one. I'm just saying that if all you want is non-aggressive types on your D, then maybe you end up with a non-aggressive D.

I'm not sure why you're getting so upset.

Is Bart Scott supposed to accept the offer just because he's in New York?

As of 2:20 Scott was shopping the deal to Baltimore per ESPN.com:

    Nail-biting time at Jets headquarters

    February 27, 2009 2:20 PM

    Posted by ESPN.com's Tim Graham

What was shaping up to be an exciting day for the New York Jets has turned anxious at their Florham Park, N.J., offices.

Inside linebacker Bart Scott, who hammered out a five-year, $40 million deal, reportedly is giving the Baltimore Ravens a chance to match. New York Daily News reporter Rich Cimini has that story.

With ominous words from Ray Lewis about not returning to the Ravens, perhaps they bite on Scott.

Meanwhile, Chris Kemoeatu, the guard that the Jets had targeted to replace Brandon Moore, has decided to remain with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

ESPN's John Clayton, citing multiple sources, reports Kemoeatu agreed to a five-year, $20 million deal with nearly $6 million in guarantees.

It's because there were reports saying that he signed early this morning. And then there were reports saying it wasn't official. Then it went back to official. Now it looks worse than ever

With so many rumors flying it's impossible to know if anything has been "fuckin accepted."

Nothing in a business contract is a done deal until it's signed by both parties.

    He'll go to New York.

I really don't want the Ravens offering him more than 5/40 TOPS because he isn't even worth that much.
