And you, in your job, are any different? When you get a job offer, you don't consider taking it back to your current employer and let them counteroffer?
And its also disrepectful especially when he is already at our complex from all reports, whats he doing, calling the Ravens from our facility? F him!!
this sucks Bart Scott reportedly is going to give the Ravens a chance to match the Jets' five-year, $40 million contract offer. In an effort to break the story, many national sources said the deal was officially agreed to. But it was never signed and it now appears Scott is having second thoughts and wants to give Baltimore another shot. We don't see why Baltimore wouldn't match now, but it's no lock. We'll find out shortly. Feb. 27 - 2:57 pm et Source: Newsday
I've seen nothing on ESPN or ESPN.com or SPORTSCENTER indicating any of this. They only thing it's stating is that there was an agreement in principal. Any link?
What I JUST heard is Scott didn't say no to the JETS deal, he just wanted to see if his former team could match, they didn't and he agreed to the JETS deal in principle. I hope that clears some things up.
John Clayton just talked about it on ESPN. Said that he will look to give the Ravens another chance, but it looks like he will sign with the Jets
Noone said he said NO. The problem is hes making it clear that if they match the ofter he will return to Baltimore... Not about saying no, its leaving the jets in an awful position

177 people viewing this thread. I hope we get him at a reasonable price. Nothing more than $45 million. But Mick, you are probably right
Seems his agent accepted the offer without talking to Scott based on what Clayton said. He will still probably sign and that was probably the number they had in mind but it has become somewhat ugly.
