Reports say Jets have signed ILB Scott By PFW staff Feb. 27, 2009 The NFL Network is reporting that Ravens ILB Bart Scott has agreed to terms on a multi-year deal with the Jets, where his ex-defensive coordinator Rex Ryan is the head coach. Scott beat ex-teammate Ray Lewis to New York to meet with the Jets and the two sides quickly agreed to a deal. The 28-year-old had 82 tackles, two forced fumbles and 1? sacks last season. -------------------------------------------- Hopefully not a repost.. Looking better and better! I'll believe it when I see him at a press conference with a green and white background and a fat guy next to him that looks like Ron White.
It's the NFL network, I think they have the inside track on contracts and such. We can pretty much consider this a done deal.
I hope they get this signing done. Bart Scott is not only a good ILB but he can also help teach the players the style of defense that Rex Ryan wants to run.
Word has it the Scott took the air out of Lewis' tires overnight and snipped all of his phone lines. First one to get to NY wins!
Wow, in hindsight cutting Bowens and Kassell was like a shoot off the fireworks, waive those flags, get the party planning going signal of what was coming, huh? Which actually leaves the LB corps down a man or so. Some potential camp cuts or sooner still on the LB roster...
The more I thought about it after I watched his highlights, I wanted him over Ray Ray. More upside, a vicious tackler-wow and explosive. Rays good but after his highlights I realy didn't think he would be the right fit here. I would have gotten tired of his pre-game antics and his mouth real quick. Good move.
A buddy of mine who covers the Jets said that "Scott's almost done. Just needs ink." All signs are pointing that this is true...
HELL YEAH!!!! Bart Scott is an up and coming stud. Love this signing. cant wait to see him send brady back to the IR with the quickness.
