To think all this could have been avoided...and we could've kept Moore had we just drafted Mayo instead of Ghoston.

i'm confident Bob Sutton/Eric Mangini would've found a way to ruin Mayo too.

...Mayo had so much success in NE because they actually have a great defensive line...with rotational players.

Seymour, Wilfork, and Ty Warren - plus Jarvin Green and Le Kevin Smith.

The Pats may be getting older, but they have a complete front seven.

^So you don't think he's that good. He'd be an upgrade over Barton. Maybe not at Scott's level, but with the potential to do so.

A QB that was injury prone, is limited and wasn't the coaching staff';s future anyway..

I realize Miami had a magical season but, I said all along Chad is a problem against top defenses like Baltimore and now IMO the Jets....

With Miami's schedule and Chad's history - I don't see that honeymoon lasting too long and I relish playing Chad in the next round of Jets Vs Chad....

Maybe you love Chad - I don't and I think it's best overall to be past Chad - So to me Favre killed two birds.

Huh? We haven't even signed anybody yet this year. Say we get Scott, Leonhard, Kemoeatu and some other role players. That's hardly the splurge we went through a year ago. At the most we'll have 2 guys on "big" money deals, I'd reckon. Tannenbaum wants all the gaps filled early to allow for flexibility in the draft. I like that approach and it's a lot more fun being players in FA than watchers.

What are you talking about? Were not going on a spending spree. Were bringing in some key new players because we have a mass amount of cap room. New regime, new head coach, new system = new players to fit the system. Scott is one of them. The dolphins turned there franchise around last year, and in the long run, it helped them win the division and get into the playoffs. Were not offering a player 100m like the redskins. A spending spree is what the raiders do, were simply filling holes with great players that will contribute right away. If you have cap room, and can't fill all your holes in the draft (draft players can't make to much of an impact in their first year), then how do you expect to win games? I have no idea what your rationale is behind your statement.

    Agreed....

If they go out and sign Ray Lewis and Kurt arner I Could see a point here but, Rex going after 2 guys from his old team is pretty standard in the NFL.
