I'm not sure if its a mistake or not. I think TJ would be a great upgrade, I think drafting a guy in round one is a mistake, I think Dustin keller could be a MONSTER out wide, or anywhere, really, but Coles was tough and had good hands. My favorite things in WRs.

Coles was overpaid based on his declining productivity. And he was a medical risk with his concussion history. So it's no surprise he was let go.

He might have had a decent year for us but it was a pretty big risk at that salary. Six million is a lot of money. And Coles running his mouth all the time didn't help the situation. Ryan likely doesn't want to have to deal with that.

Still I appreciated everything Coles did for the Jets. Goodbye and good luck.

Ok first, coles was not able to get any seperation this year at all. Second..... Tj houshmanzadeh has out performed coles for like the last 4 Seasons. Do not let your love for coles allow u to actually think he was anything more then a barely average #2 wr playing the part of a #1 wr who was on the decline. With the cutting of coles I hope we can land housh, it would be an upgrade.

This must be the best offseason for you in a lot time. They are cutting everybody.

I love LC on the field, and yet I'm not sure why anyone would say this was a bad move. He clearly wasn't going to be content to play out his contract with us, we weren't in a position to offer him more, a long term deal would be a huge risk after this past season, and we freed up room to possibly secure a WR for the future. If not, we draft and develop a true #1. Where's the downside? He goes to Miami? Sweet. Let them deal with the malcontent after Week 6. I wouldn't count on those 1200 yards if he does.

Coles will be a nice number two in Miami, I hope they pay him like a No. 1, I doubt they do.
