Wow Jeaux, you named 1 player who was undersized for the position and still succeeded. What about all of the other undersized guys who couldn't/can't hack it in a 3-4 scheme? You named the exception; congratulations. How does that prove anything?

How about Stephen Cooper How about Zach Thomas. Again there is no set criteria of how you have to build your 3-4 defense. You can't say Vilma struggling in 3-4 proves he can't play in the 3-4. The Jets personel now will protect Vilma enough that his lack of size isn't a big issue but they defintely could use his cover ability. Tony Siragusa (who knows REx Defense) was asked what Lb do JKets need. HE said J vilma is the perfect LB they are missing. Will try to google that to find it.
ummmm..that's exactly what you can say. If Vilma struggles in the 3-4 (which he has proven over a season)...it means he CAN'T play the 3-4. His production dropped dramatically when the alignment was changed...he himself was against playing the 3-4 in his last season with the Jets. Are you really this stupid?

Was Kris Jenkins the NT, WAs OLB Calvin Pace a Jet. Listen you take away those players and obviously Vilma can't play in 3-4. (going to see alot more traffic) Now you add those two players and Vilma not seeing as much traffic. This is not rocket science. You put D Edwards on same defense as Vilma and he wouldn't have looked any better. Have you ever played football?????????????? Here your homework assignment. Watch tape from 2007 season and 2008 season. Watch how much less traffic the 2008 version was seeing.
