what did the Jets get for Abe again?

go find the name and get back to me.

If you want to give a 30 yr old RB more money - go root for the Raiders.

I agree. With the other holes on this team and Jones being quite serviceable still, likely for at least another year, this is not the time to go high pick in the draft at RB.

Uh oh, looks like a certain RB has been spending a bit too much time with Coles...

I'd like to see them draft a RB and start using him immediately. Let him split carries with TJ and Leon and we'd have a solid and versatile running game. That was we'd also get depth on the roster and a RB for the future. Having only 2 active RBs on our roster last season was a huge mistake. Besides, I think a lot of our team's needs can be filled in the second day of the draft and through free agency.

Fuck him. I'm shocked that he would even be so stupid as to start bitching at this point. He's sitting pretty in NY right now, and he knows he's without a doubt on the downhill side of his career.

4 years 20 million, 12 million guaranteed. No raise needed. Most of us won't make that kind of money in our entire life. Just play ball.

Let him go. Sign Leonhard to return punts and kickoffs and get Leon more involved with the offense. We need young talent. This kills two birds with one stone.

Not a featured back, no. Simply get him more involved in the Offense, by splitting more time with another back. I say we go after an older RB who has experience, and we can get on the cheap for a 1 or 2 year contract. This eases Leon into more play time to eventually become our featured back. Face it, it has to happen soon. He's too good to play backup. If we keep treating him like we are, other teams will pick up on his talent and give him a nice fat contract to be their starter. Let him split time with a more experienced FA. Also, pick up another back late in the draft to get some experience next year under Leon and said FA.

All of this is much cheaper then re-signing Jones to a 4-5 year deal, where he's going to be too old to play in 2 years.

I'm fine but a lot of these trades we made most of the people on here wanted them or agree with them. Like Vilma I bet over 70% of this board was in favor of trading him now they would like to get him back.

I hear u but we haven't had a pass rush since we traded him. That why are pass D gets picked apart. Who did we get again? Sorry I have a lot going on right in my personnal life.

Well Bob Sutton was promoted to DC the year after Abe left. That also could mean something.

We got a Pro Bowl center for an excellent DE who is injured every other season.

Last time I checked Abe made the pro bowl also and plus we had a pro bowl center at the time when we traded him. We haven't had a pass rush since we traded him but if we would had keep Kevin we still would had a pro bowl center.

I see what your saying but we never gave up on Chad and he was a lot more injury prone then Abe was or is.

We had a Pro Bowl center that will probably be retired a year from now. We have a Pro Bowl center that will be in the league for probably another 10-12 years. Plus, there were many times that Abe played for us that we still didn't have a pass rush. Paying that much money for inconsistency is idiocy.

Not one dime. He's a 30+ year old runningback. That's like being a 50 year old swimsuit model: the next time somebody looks at you closely your career is over.
