how do you figure that? i wouldn't be surprised if they draft a QB in the 1st round... the biggest missing piece..

sage rosenfels? ... come on man, sanchez would be starting QB on that team by week 8

They may think Rosenfels is better than Sanchez...not many people think much of Sanchez at all in fact. If he falls to 17 he may just as easily fall right out of the first round.

i don't either in fact, but i wouldn't trade for sage rosenfels and say that's that. need some young depth so i don't think i would say they are out of the trade-up race.

They need somebody ready to start right away. Even Pete Carroll didn't think Sanchez was anywhere near ready for the NFL. His learning curve may be long and difficult before he is ready to play.

that's fair, but maybe they go after someone else. if stafford falls or freeman's stock rises, who knows?

ill pass on sanchez, grab a WR like Maclin/Nicks, or another LB like Laurinitus/Maulauga, or OL Depth, or Knowshon Moreno, or Tyson Jackson for DL rotation and eventual replacement of Shaun Ellis, CB Vontae Davis to literally make our DB depth one of the best in the league (also a backup plan if a freak injury renders Sheppard useless),

    or

Trading the pick for a high ransom. (and still getting any combo presented above)

all of those options are more attractive to me than actually drafting Mark Sanchez. im not inferring hes garbage, I just think we need to fill other holes and actually see if Kellen Clemens can get it done. he started 8 games for us behind the worst OL in recent jets history. 2 players from that unit arent even in the NFL anymore.

if he loses out to Ratliff, then hell we see what we have in another player.

and if both of them fail were sitting with alot more holes filled being able to specifically go after QB next yr.

and if Clemens or Ratliff proves effective, we get a cheaper QB worth starting moving forward with more holes filled then we address quality depth on both OL/DL
