I'm not going to get into the whole argument, as I remember you were the guy saying Chambers wasn't a legit #1 before the season started - I'd hope that you're not still standing by those words. What I will say is that Nobody Jumps like Chambers. Chambers currently holds the record for the high jump at the Combine, Moss is the only WR that compares to Chambers as far as overall athletic skill is concerned - but his verticle isn't as high.
Chad Johnson Steve Smith Randy Moss TO Tory Holt Larry Fitzgerald Anquan Boldin Dieon Branch Marvin Harrison Hines Ward
My Top 10 1.Terrell Owens I know most of ya hate him , but when hes on the field he is the best all-around wr in the whole league, u could never question how hard he works on game-day. 2.Chad Johnson Another wr that yall might not like but probably works harder than any body else.Led the afc in rec and yards. 3.Randy Moss Slipped up this year but thats because the of Collins and he had injuries.Still top 3 wide reciever. 4.Steve Smith Finally the #1 reciever and had his best season ever had, led the nfl in rec, tds, and yards. 5.Marvin Harrison I dont love him but i do respect him, definately top 5 and by far the most consistent wr in the whole nfl. 6.SANTANA MOSS My favorite reciever in the nfl , not only cause he was a jet but cause he played for the U. Glad he finally is showing everbody what we saw in him when we drafted him.Too bad he couldnt do it here though. 7.Anquan Boldin If he played on a better team he and Fitzgerald would always be considered top wr's, but he doesnt so isnt recongnized as much.1400 yards and 7tds 2nd in the Nfl in rec. 8.Larry Fitzgerald Again would be recongnized cause of where he plays, but i think it will change this year.ist tied with Steve Smith in rec and had 1400 yards and 7 tds.Playoffs:up: 9.Torry Holt Again not a flashy dude but gets it done no matter who his qb is. 10.Chris Chambers Not a dolphins guy, but i recongnize greatness when i see it had his best season ever and has great hands.
I dont know why some of u guys are putting rod smith in your top 10 , i dont think hes even top 20. 2001 was his best season 113 rec 11tds and 1300 yards He's been very good, but never elite.
Well it's because of his consistency, he's had 70+ catches in 9 straight seasons which is amazing in the NFL, and something the best WR in NFL history never did (Jerry Rice's most was 8). This consistency and ability to stay healthy every season deserves a lot of credit, and he is 3 catches away from 800 so he has put up the production. Looking at your list you didn't take consistency into effect as you have 2 very inconsistent guys (Moss and Chambers) in your top 10. Guys like that can't be trusted every game, Rod Smith can.
My top 10 1a. Marvin Harrison - Cant knock his numbers and consistency 1b. Randy Moss - Dont have to explain him 3. Terrel Owens - As much as I hate him and think hes overrated, he still produces and hes still a threat. IMO, what gets to me is that his hands arent that great. You got to throw it to him a ton of times and throw a buncha short routes, but once he has the ball in his hands, hes an f'n beast. 4. Torry Holt - Puts up ridiculous numbers 5. Hines Ward - Most complete WR in the league. He'd punt the ball if you asked him to 6. Steve Smith - Hes a little beast. 7. Chad Jackson - Moving up the charts at an incredible rate 8a&b. Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald - Theyre f'n scary and compliment eachother well. 10. Santana Moss - Had a breakout year, lets see if he can follow it up.
TO is by far the best reciever in the league right now. He can bring you to the superbowl if you give him what you say you will (unlike the eagles). i thionk he is gonna take dallas to XLI
Bring you to the Superbowl? The hump the Eagles couldn't get over (the NFCC) they got over on theri own, with out TO there. It was their time, they finally went up against an opponent they were better than. Past year, Rams, Bucs, and Cats were jsut stronger. Falcons suck, the whole NFC sucked that year, which is why the got in. IMO, TO is waaaay overcredited with getting them into the SB. Had they won, you can give him credit for winning it, but getting them there, imo, is misplaced. Let's see what he does with the Boys.
No. IMO, Chambers emerged into a legit #1 wide out THIS YEAR. He will have to keep it up next year if he wants to keep that title. IMO, he's always had the talent and potential. So does say, Braylon Edwards, but would you really call Edwards a #1 WR in the NFL? No, not yet. Chambers, had the potential, but had not yet used it to a #1 level untill this year. I'm still sticking to that. You were the one that thought Brown would out rush Cadillac.
Yeah, he is consistint a guy who plays in every game, but there a difference between being consistent and being elite. Rod Smith to me isnt a hall of famer hes's what Skip Bayless would say hall of very good.I dont got nothing against i loved the broncos in 97-98 , John Elway is on eof my favorite qb's of all time he's just not up there. I put Chambers and Moss(assuming you are talkin about Santana) up there because they have recently gotten with new coaches and new systemsand they did great. Next year could get be better.
...that was a pretty useless argument from me to you and from you to me, as all 3 of these guys sucked this year, Santana Moss being by far the best with only 790 yards and 6 TD's.
1. Torry Holt 2. Steve Smith 3. Larry Fitzgerald 4. Chad Johnson 5. Marvin Harisson 6. Hines Ward 7. Santana Moss 8. TJ Houshmudezenduh 9. Reggie Wayne 10. Laveraneus Coles
#1 Steve Smith #2 Chad Johnson #3 Marvin Harrison #4 Anquan Boldin/Fitzgerald( i think they both equal) #6 Roy Williams #7 Torry Holt #8 Hines Ward #9 Randy Moss #10 Terrell Owens
NYJ seriously if u put mike furry on any list. 1. Fitz 2. Chad Johnson 3. Randy... I think on a decent team his is still the best, no question. 4. Marvin Harrison 5.anquan boldin 6.torry holt 7.T.O 8. Steve smith 9. Coles 10.roy williams
1. Steve Smith 2. Marvin Harrison 3. Chad Johnson 4. Anquan Boldin 5. Torry Holt 6. Larry Fitzgerald 7. Roy Williams 8. Hines Ward 9. Randy Moss 10. Terrell Owens
