I'm a stand up guy. It was me and this is what I said: "Here's another vote for the only Favre magic is making himself disappear - and taking all the Favrettes - Determination, Puddnhead, etc - with him. Pooof!!!" I don't see what is so wrong with that. I never wanted Favre in the first place and I think today is a great day for the Jets. It's time for this franchise to move on and find a QB for the future, not one living in the past. And I'd be surprised if the people who root for the (former) player and not the team stick around on this board. If I'm wrong for putting you in the Favre fan group with Determination and the other Favrettes, and you are a Jet fan who just happens to live in Green Bay, then I apologize. But I expect that the Favre-fans are goners. I'm just being honest, not offensive.
Fair enough, you may be right. I'll be just as honest and say I don't know what I feel right now. When the season ended, I figured Favre probably would retire, but I still was excited about the Jets and thought I'd still follow them (when I could -- I'm guessing they won't be shown as much in this TV market anymore). But after two months of enduring pretty abrasive shit on this board ... I don't know, it's really worn on my enthusiasm, I'll be honest. I don't know. So, maybe you'll end up being right after all.
